She's more than just boobs and booty ... this year's Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue cover girl Kate Upton is now on the cover of Jalouse magazine, revealing some cleavage and that's about it! To see shots of Kate in Jalouse, watch the video below!

Upton, 20, wears designer duds by Dior and Burberry for the shoot, and talks about her "new" life as a high-fashion model: "It's funny, fashion shoots do not resemble at all swimwear shoots. Pose, I can do, but customer expectations are not the same. Everyone acts differently on the set. The bikini photos are for any American home. Fashion is for a unique group."

kate upton

She continues, "The world of fashion is a clique. What matters is not to be pretty, but different, to reunite all the characteristics of perfection, but in a staggered manner. This is what they want." Do you think Upton has what it takes to be a high-fashion model? Or is she better off sticking to bikinis?

She is too attractive and sexy. No one would look at the clothes.
And she certainly isn't the skinny type, hallelujah.

I think that Kate's height and body proportions would get in her way of being a high fashion model.

For example, even Doutzen Kroes had that problem.

I researched the matter because I did a post on Natalia Vodianova. She fit into sample size even after having her 3rd child.

But she's fabulous as she is. After reading through some of the comments laughably by the self proclaimed 'sexy" girls critiquing her body I must ask,How much have you made by nothing more than your own physicality? Somehow I fail to believe 'you' will ever be in the pool of contenders for a SISI cover AMR AMR

If she can't then there is something seriously wrong with 'high-fashion', which is likely enough.

and I don't find what people like about her body. She has the waist/hips ratio of a man. Her stomach is too wide
I've seen better big boob girls

Agreed. She isn't exactly "curvy," unless you account for her boobs, and they look like pancake batter that's about to drip out of a spoon. I don't get the hype over her. Sure, she's attractive (most models are) but she's not all that. I see women at the supermarket that look better.

Why so critical? She's beautiful and sexy. Beauty is not measured by waist to hip ratio. Are you trying to say anyone who doesn't have perfect hourglass shape must be unattractive? And she still has great boobs whether or not anyone else has slightly better boobs or not. No one is perfect

I'm not saying she's ugly, but over-rated. Having no waist is a manly characteristic, even if it happens to girls too. She can't do anything about it. But I still think there's a hype over a body that isn't that nice, mostly given her modeling

Ok yeah I understand a lot of celebrities are over-rated and over-hyped by the media. But I personally think a better way of looking at it is to appreciate all different types of beauty without saying one is necessarily better or worse than another, rather than to see things so negatively. But I do understand where your coming from, celebrities and models are projected as some sort of unattainable superhuman race when they are really just ordinary people like anyone else..

nah not celebrity. But it's proven that we are biologically programmed to find certain things to be beautiful. and that's why they are standard. Big hip, not a masculine figure (she has a masculine stomach), a healthy weight, etc

Britney is a singer, she shouldn't be judge on her beauty. Kate is a model. Her job is to be beautiful. It's normal we have higher standard when it's your job

Not the right body type. She's too healthy looking. The catwalk models are androgynous waifs - the catwalk clothing isn't designed for anything bigger than a coat hanger and certainly not for a girl with breasts. The designers don't cater for them. Those photos above with the 3 catwalk models made me cringe at how disgustingly scrawny they are. Not only is it not healthy, but it's not appealing in the slightest. Ms. Upton is far more physically attractive than those women and most of the fashion models because she has a woman's body.

It's not that she isn't pretty enough, she's just different. Most fashion models have striking faces and very tall, thin bodies. She has a cute face and an average weight body...basically the "girl next door" look which men love but doesn't cut it in the fashion world. Then again, maybe her look is coming into style. Who knows.

Many people are confusing high fashion with runway models. Looks are easily changed for the camera. As long as she is healthy she should make money for as long as she can, in case those looks or that bod don't last.

Years ago Marilyn Monroe was considered "sexy ". In those days most people were "slender". Or what might be considered skinny !! Now we are FAT AS HELL models are considered SKINNY !! TIMES HAVE CHANGED !!

So true. Back in Marilyn Monroe's day(She was beautiful by the way) alot of Hollywood actresses had an hour glass figure with small waist, wide hips and big breast and nice body. They were in other words, curvy.
Then Twiggy came along in 1960s and the models became skinny. Since then Hollywood has embraced women of rail thin figures or at least very skinny figures.
    Yes times have changed

She is pretty and sexy, but that is not necessarily what is wanted for high fashion models. They are clothes hangers. The audience is supposed to look at the clothes, not at them. Models have good bones but aren't necessarily pretty. They need to have striking faces that can be made up in a variety of looks, all of which are costumey. Their bodies are pointy and angular just like a clothes hanger.
See how this model does not fill out her clothes? Pretty face but she can look edgy too.

She's too sexy, too healthy, and just plain out too good for that crap. Your average runway model looks like she hasn't eaten a meal in a year and is still constipated from that. I would rather see Kate than a coathanger, but I'd also hate for her to try to be like that.
