Jennifer Aniston has come a long way from portraying the relatively tame Rachel Green on "Friends." She was voted the Hottest Woman of All Time by Men's Health, poured on the steam in 2011's "Horrible Bosses" and now, according to Deadline, she'll be playing a drug-peddling prostitute. Talk about getting out of your comfort zone.

She hasn't been confirmed, but apparently Aniston is in talks for "We're the Millers," a comedy about a drug dealer who hires a fake family to help him smuggle 1,000 pounds of marijuana across the country. Aniston would play the fake wife, a prostitute, and her "Horrible Bosses" co-star, Jason Sudeikis, is in talks for the lead role. Do you think Jennifer Aniston could pull off playing this role -- arguably, her most risque one yet -- in spite of her all-American image?

Yes, she can play a fictional prostitute in a fictional comedy, but in a serious role she'd never be able to come close to Charlize Therons portrayal of a REAL LIFE prostitute. No matter what part Jennifer plays she seems to always be the same person and I'm not sure if she could go through the type of transformation needed to do a serious role.

Yes she can....I would look forward to her acting the part.
Of course her credibility is dependant on the movie itself and just how real the movie itself is and the whole movie plot and reality of the part she is portraying in the movie.
She is a very capable actress as already proven in the many movie roles she has portrayed.
As to whether or not she is the ideal or perfect actress for the part is the bigger question.
Sometimes you watch a film and you just know they chose the perfect actor for the part.

She has the experience in American sitcoms. Why not? I think it's a great idea to see her play the comedic take of a drug-peddling prostitute. It's going to be very interesting to watch.

Um......in a sense maybe? She's never gotten over Pitt....and I think Friends will be what marks her forever regardless of what she undertakes, not unlike Farrah and Charlie's Angels. Can she play a prostitute? I guess.....but can she play one well.
If she learns total immersion ala Johnny Depp it could happen, but she's gonna have to get down and dirty....and dirty, I don't think she's really suited for. I've never seen her as "edgy," which, depending on view points, is a good thing.

You are absolutely 100% right my friend!! Her transformation was completely breath taking!! There are only a handful of actresses & actors who can take pretty much any role & kill it!! Sorry Jennifer but you are not one of them.

In my opinion, she's a good actress. Even when the last few movies of hers bombed, she still did a splendid job at portraying her character. So, I think she can pull this role off.

Probably... she's had such a lousy run since "Friends" that she's due to find a good role sometime soon. She plays comedy well, but it must be hard to create good chemistry in a movie because that 'Rachel' thing still hangs over her.

She's an actress; actually a great actress! Of course she can play a drug-peddling prostitute. Those saying no are probably doing so because it's not how they see Ms. Aniston. I can't believe they're saying no because they think she's a bad actress. :)

Good point: Give the women the chance to try and we may see her excel in the role she is required to portray.
We will never know unless she trys and hopefully the whole movie plot and portrayal of a drug peddling prostitute is high caliber and realistic rather than just another movie trying to make a 100 percent return on investment.
Hopefully the movie itself will have a whole lot of real life character and "soul" and brings out the best of each actors talents while the heart felt acting of each role playing actor in turn brings out the hidden talent that some actors have while portraying a difficult role.
Go for it.

If Jane Fonda and Julia Roberts can play prostitutes and win awards for those performances, why not Jennifer Anniston? I hope she does a nude scene in it as well....
