I think they have the potential to beat anyone in the AFC. Their defense is playing lights out and their running game is strong. Yates just needs to show he's serviceable to keep 8 guys out of the box. If he can do that, they've got a shot.
I agree that they wouldn't have a chance against Green Bay in the Super Bowl. I also wouldn't like their chances on the road in New England, Baltimore, or Pittsburgh.
Can Houston Overcome Injuries?

The Houston Texans are 9-3, in the midst of a franchise-record six game winning streak, and look to be on pace to capture their first playoff berth and AFC South division title in franchise history. Oh, they also keep winning without their starting quarterback, franchise defensive player Mario Williams, and may be without their star wide receiver Andre Johnson. Who said life or the NFL season was fair?
Despite injuries to both starting quarterback Matt Schaub and backup Matt Leinart, rookie/third-string quarterback T.J. Yates did a very solid job on Sunday, in a win over a talented Atlanta Falcons team. Yates went 12 for 25, good for 188 passing yards and one touchdown. The Texans' top-ranked defense capitalized on two costly interceptions by Atlanta's Matt Ryan en route to victory.
Andre Johnson left the game with a left hamstring injury, but told HoustonTexans.com it is nothing near as bad as his similar injury earlier in the season. Johnson's teammates and Texans' fans can only hope he will have a speedy and healthy recovery in time for the playoffs. Luckily, the Texans still have Pro Bowl-caliber running back Arian Foster, who rushed for 111 yards and one touchdown on 31 tries on Sunday. Backup running back Ben Tate has also shown he can take over a game at times and rushed for 41 yards on Sunday as well.
With the Texans tied with New England and Baltimore at 9-3 in the AFC, home-field advantage throughout the playoffs and a much-needed bye week is still within reach. Texans head coach Gary Kubiak definitely deserves some Coach of The Year votes for this 2011 campaign."It's a great win," Kubiak said, following the Texans' hard-fought 17-10 win over Atlanta. "...because of everything this team has been through." And boy, have they been through a lot.

Yates is going to do just fine. He has one of the best running games to lean on with a double-threat in Foster/Tate. The #1 defense (The Steer Curtain) to keep the score low on the other side and Andre Johnson might just miss 1 game, giving him his deep threat.
Warren Moon likes T.J Yates better than Leinart anyway.

Texans = 9 wins 3 loses
Patriots = 9 wins 3 loses
If Texans = Suck then Patriots = Suck

If Shaub was still in, and your big Two were not a Big one (injuries) They would probably be the #1 seed , but I dont' see that happening either - I may be wrong but theres no superbowl this year for the Texans. But earnestly I am happy their fans finally get to see them in the playoffs. Next year they may be the team to beat in the division who knows.
I agree that they wouldn't have a chance against Green Bay in the Super Bowl. I also wouldn't like their chances on the road in New England, Baltimore, or Pittsburgh.
Although, I would be torn if they made it to the Superbowl.... :/

The Texans most likely will not make it to the SB because of injuries, but GB is not repeating this year.

Green Bay WILL repeat. When Capers says he's going to fix something, he will fix it.
The Green Bay defense was not ranked 30th (might be 32nd after the Giants game) last year.
Houston is an example of a team that can win without a QB. Matt Schaub himself is a fill in and will never be one of the great QB's, but he plays his role to a tee in the Houston offense. Just like Yates will.
If GB lost Rogers, they would not continue to win games.. not when other teams are scoring 35-40 against you.
I am waiting for GB to play a real defense. Houston won't get a chance until a possible Superbowl, but GB won't make it passed a real defense when they play the 49ers in the NFC Championship game.
(You do remember what Capers did in Houston, right?)
