Dale Earnhardt Jr. is only 25 points behind the current leader Matt Kenseth in NASCAR. The professional race-car driver has had some pretty impressive finishes lately, with a win at the Michigan Speedway on June 17th -- breaking a long and ugly victory drought. But does Dale Earnhardt Jr. have the goods to deliver a championship?

but the fans have to take a stand against the corporation and stop watching! then the top dogs will rig the cautions and inspections in favor of jr to win the title like they rigged the firecracker 400 for jr to win after his dad died. the key reason nascar kept fining jr points and always keeping jr just outside the bubble for the chase before he quit the 8 team to join hendrick was to keep jr fans GLUED to the tv going "WILL HE MAKE IT?, WILL HE MAKE IT?, WILL HE MAKE IT?". that BOOSTED ratings for nascar enough that the ratings drop from the NFL season starting wouldn't hurt so bad.

I don't see why he can't. He's been very consistent, this year, and with the win at Michigan, I believe that took some pressure off. Remember, you don't have to win all of the races, just finish consistently in the top 10, which is what he's been doing, so far.

I haven't been watching.... I quit when his dad died...... well, I followed jr for awhile but, got bored....... I'm glad to know he is doing well....;)

He has a darn good chance this year, especially after getting the second race at Daytona over with.
It can't be easy going to that track but it's behind him for this season and clear sailing with the best equipment and crew in the business.
