Can anyone explain to me why so many people can give a rats underside what happens in some celebrity's personal life?

I like them dead and mythic.It gives me a fantasy friend or lover while I think about philosophy and theology in a celibate way. I havent had sex much. I lost my virginity
at age 27 the year of the dead rock star club.LOL.Im sort of consecrated to pursuing odd
and perhaps worthless intellectual thoughts when I feel like it.

I dont usually get very obsessed with the ones that are alive.

Ive made art or poems about a few dead celebs then they become a bit like my children.

Some celebs are actually intellectuals or artists but the majority of them are overrated
hype for people to converse about who dont have lives.If they are artists and some are
then theres many forms of art not just the overhyped rock star and movie star world.
Its just rock stars and movie stars (not usually character actors) are millions and millions of peoples thing.

Personally I Don't care about celebrities because they are pushed in your face even when you don't want them. They are showed on the news and in magazines/newspapers so they are hard to avoid. To avoid them you have to avoid all media outlets and stores. Which is close to impossible if you live in the city/suburbs. They're involved in scandal after scandal it gets quite annoying hearing about them all the time. Plus most them seem to be living in a fantasy land. Spending money on useless stuff and doing a ton of stupid things because they think they're above the law. The media speaks of the most useless things about them. Such as (example: Britney Spears got her new dog name diamond) This is not true but it's an example. The paparazzi needs to start minding their own business. If they do we would have more sane celebs and more sane us.

I'm tired of hearing about them.

Some people are intrinsically nosy. My grandmother is their leader.

I can not. It is a mystery that has eluded me for the longest. Besides if you've heard one celebrity's story you've heard them all. Pick up a magazine from the 1940s and you would scarcely be able to tell the difference if not for the fact that the pictures are not in color.
