After spending nine weeks at the top of the charts, Gotye's "Somebody That I Used to Know" has finally been knocked down a notch... by
Justin Bieber's pride and joy, Carly Rae Jepsen. Her hit song "Call Me Maybe" has managed to lodge itself into enough brains to launch it to the No. 1 spot on
Billboard's Hot 100 with 3.3 digital downloads and 108 million YouTube views.
Jepsen isn't new to the music industry, but she's certainly new to fame. The 26-year-old singer-songwriter got her start in 2007 when she got third place on "Canadian Idol," and released her debut album, "Tug of War," in 2008. But she didn't get much air time until fellow Canadian Justin Bieber started tweeting about her latest single, "Call Me Maybe," off her 2012 "Curiosity" EP. The song's catchy hook practically made her career over night. Do you dig the song? (Listen at your own risk: This jam will be in your head all day long.)
Here is a GOOD upcoming no.1 (It will get there, believe me)

THESE songs I hear every damn day on the radio, polluting the sound waves with their noise. Luckily with THIS song it's easy to make up joke lyrics to laugh at it while enduring it!
That's a funny meme ... http://tisdelassociates.com/w...
FYI, I work at a store where the radio is played overhead. I can't turn that off. And, since I'm a damn good employee there too, I don't listen to my iPod at work - not that I'd be allowed to anyway. So, yeah, the mainstream radio - consisting mostly of this sad crap - is played all the live-long day.
"Somebody I Used to Know" by Gotye and a handful of others are the only good ones.
Another person whining about mainstream music. It gets old, it really does.
It gets old, it really does.
Funny, I got top comment on THAT one too. I smell jelly. Lol.
Not another person who thinks someone whines with the top commenter because he wants attention.
It gets old, it really does.
Now using a keyboard? THAT is unnatural.
