Burger Named After Chris Brown and Rihanna Incident: Clever or Cruel?

Rihanna seems to be moving on from the 2009 incident that drove then-boyfriend Chris Brown into domestic violence classes, but the public has been slow to forget. Yet Hops & Chops, a Georgia restaurant, is trying to cash in on the incident by naming its latest creation after them: The Carribean Black and Bleu, a sandwich with marinated ribeye, bleu cheese, tomato, Lamborghini onion, lettuce, and Carribean spices.

Sounds delicious, but the restaurant has received a good deal of negative feedback on its Facebook page. The Daily Caller pulled up this comment from an upset observer: "I keep trying to find the right words to respond to this inexcusable, irresponsible, and despicable incident and I can’t seem to find the right words other than we will NEVER eat there." And another:"Yikes ... that's in super poor taste. I love Chops and Hops, but this might be enough to keep me away for a bit. Wow ... just wow." Do you think the restaurant went overboard by naming a burger after the Rihanna and Chris Brown domestic violence incident?

I just had surgery on the soft tissues in my throat, they removed the uvula, the tonsils and most of the soft pallet in an operation called a Uvulopalatopharyngoplasty. They also preformed a septoplasty to fix a deviated septum while they were at it. Unfortunately I choked on water on the first day of my recovery and busted all the stitches on the right side where they removed the right tonsil. it causes a space for food to get stuck and on top of that I have no swallow reflex now and have to learn to swallow again. So far I have had no luck learning, and am still stuck on nothing thicker than pudding and even that has to be washed down with water between each bite. Even at that I still end up choking on about half of it. It really sucks to lose weight this fast, I feel weak all the time.

Well, I had to have a bit of scar tissue cut out this morning. It attached itself from the side of my throat where my tonsils were, to what is remaining of my soft pallet, kind of like a vine going from tree to tree. But now I can eat solids again, unfortunately I started a little too fast and now I'm paying for it ugh!

And though I've never been there, it's looks good enough to make me want to hop on my private jet and come down for lunch at least once a week....she's not getting any royalties from it is she? That would definitely be a deal breaker for me.......

It's just a name and to be honest the funnest things in history have made a lot of people cringe, don't get me wrong I don't agree with any type of abuse but some times it's better to laugh rather than cry

What Chris Brown did is vile, cruel and inexcusable. What Rhianna did by taking him back is just inexcusable. What this restaurant did would only be wrong if Rhianna still thought what Chris Brown did was. If she is over it, everybody else should be. If she was not over it, I would be behind her 100%.

It's very punny, and to be truthful, it has gotten a lot of press. As they say, "there's no such thing as bad publicity....." It looks tasty, and had they picked a less controversial name, many people, including myself, would never have heard of it or them.
Is it even certain that they had this incident in mind when they named the burger?
