Bruce Willis Says He Doesn't Think He's a Very Good Actor: Do You Think He Is?

Not really............but he was great in the Die Hard movies.

I like Bruce Willis and he was great in Die Hard but overall I have to agree somewhat. He's okay or decent. I say I agree because he doesn't have much range or aren't flexible as opposed to other actors. Sure he played some roles that were serious but it's not his forte. Not as convincing.

Bruce Willis isn't an actor, he's Bruce Willis saying lines and running around, usually in an entertaining manner.

Don't sell yourself short Bruce! He is very good at what he does. Sometimes he is excellent, as in "The Sixth Sense," "In Country" and several others. Mr. Willis is also one of the few action stars who has a personality on screen, and can interact with special effects without looking silly. Not easy to do. He's won two Emmys and a Golden Globe for his TV work.

Bruce Willis always plays Bruce Willis no matter the rold. Like John Wayne, Jimmy Steward, and so others. Dustin Hoffman is an actor and so is Meryle Streap.

I hate to say it, but I agree with Mr. Willis on this one.

He's good enough for the kind of movies he does. But, I wouldn't call him for a role that requires serious chops.

He is definitely not in the same league with Errol Flynn, Charlton Heston, John Wayne, or any of the other "great men" of adventure of the Golden Age of Hollywood.

I'm 53 and i dont know..I think we all have our preferences to the era we belong to ..plus I tend to believe many actors have their own individual thing that make them great actors (I'm talking about the super stars like Willis, Arnold S, Stallone, Travolta etc). Now with our modern tech and all it may be more demanding for actors to try to supercede their ability becuz of the tech era. Another words, unlike the past, actors now a days have to compete with the WOWs of tech like Avatar special effects for instance... movie goers are use to seeing some incredible shots where in the old days it was just the actor and stuntmen. I agree with the you as far as the legends you mentioned being awesome but I couldnt see John Wayne doing one the role of willis in the Die hard movies, but again its all on the roles the actor is required to play. I seen willis on some awesome roles like The Jackal or The 6th Sense not to mention his Die Hard movies etc

He is a good actor but not a great actor

There are a couple of movies that I enjoy of his but there are some I don't ;-)

He's not the best and he's mostly typecast but he's good.

I agree he's terrible. I don't mind watching his films when the become available on free broadcast, but I would never pay good money to see one of his films in a theater

After Moonlighting it does look like he plays a lot of the same character; I guess Hollywood just isn't that original.

I think he's good - he wouldn't keep getting acting roles if he stunk at acting.

There's a saying that goes "The more you know, the more you learn what you don't know." Bruce is probably becoming an even better actor than he was before - he's just seeing the little mistakes he's made, that he didn't notice before.
