While I don't agree with his politics, I do enjoy his music.

Yes, his old stuff not so much the new,it's not my cup of tea. In the early days you could hear him sing and listen to the music. Now the music screams and so does he, that's not music that's plain old noise. His old song were about ideas and had meaning, today's noise doesn't have anything for me just a change in time without little meaning. Maybe he will come back to the music and start sing again of making noise. Good Luck Bruce, hope you find yourself!

never was a big fan but I did have a few favorite songs from him. I quit listening to him completely about 10-12 years ago.

I find it sad that conservatives seem to lump politics in with almost everything. There are musicians that I listen to who share opposing viewpoints, but I listen to them anyway because they are good musicians. About the music, I've heard some of his new stuff, and I like it. He hasn't changed his sound much from what I've heard, which is good. I do miss Clarence's sax solos though.

I love Bruce. And yes, I still listen to him. This is one of my favorite songs because it has good memories attached to it, albeit a little melancholy.

No. I stopped listening to him about 12 years ago, because all his music started sounding the same...lost interest...It takes nothing away from his enormous talent and apparently burning desire to perform at warp 10 until he dies onstage of a heart attack. Slow down, Bruce. Life is good. Slow down a bit and enjoy life.

He has more to say than any other artist and cares and does more for the working class

What has he done directly to help "the working class"? I didn't see that he gave them a portion of his fortune, did I just miss the press release?

As for "more to say" ...that's meaningless unless someone cares to listen.

Matt, his music reflects his political views. I can see you never did listen to him.
  • Matt kudabux 2012/03/20 08:30:43
    Matt
err. i have listened to a lot of his stuff from early 80's onward - obviously some songs are about his opinion of the state of the nation, or issues, but good music is good music, and i dont see how secret garden, glory days or streets of philadelphia are better or worse for his political views...
