Charlie Sheen’s ex-wife Brooke Mueller is back in rehab again, after she was found unconscious and rushed to the hospital last week. According to sources, she’s addicted to Adderall, a psycho-stimulant used by people with attention deficit disorder. According to TMZ, Brooke has acknowledged that she had taken too many Adderall pills, and has checked into rehab for an unspecified amount of time.

She’s currently under probation in Aspen and is prohibited from consuming alcohol, but her attorney, Yale Galanter, is confident that the level of alcohol in her bloodstream wasn’t high enough to qualify as a violation. He also insists that her system was free of illegal drugs.

Galanter has said that "Brooke was uncomfortable with the way Adderall was making her behave,” and that by heading back to rehab she "continues her lifelong battle with drug addiction by taking these steps herself to prevent a further drug relapse.” Do you think rehab will stick for Brooke Mueller this time?

What I don't get is that people like us sign up to sites like this for salacious gossip, intruding into the private lives of celebrities, we click on the story, we vote on the story and after that effort, we make comments like that we don't care about the issue or the person. If we are going to create the demand for the media to pry into these people's lives, we can at least try to be respectful to the person and their illness.

Rehabs don't have a high success rate.
People give up when they are ready to give up: when the negatives of their addiction out-weigh the positives.
That said, I would think Adderall addiction is probably not too difficult to get over.

Actually, I don't know. As a person who struggles with my own addiction demons, I wish her all the best. Recovery is a process -- I hope she makes it.

Since she was probably forced to make the, "choice," to go to rehab it wont help her. Cannot force a person to change. How many times has Lindsey Lohan, Darryl Strawberry, Charlie Sheen, etc, etc., been made to go to rehab? Sad.

I do not know her or her track record but I believe in hope and change. Optimism is what is needed here and a support team who will stick with her throughout the process (beginning, middle, end, and throughout her lifetime). I have seen it happen to others; now, it is her turn.

It is very common for people to fall off the wagon. It it hard fighting addition. It is even harder when you have a lot of pressure on you.

These 12 step approaches have a 95% relapse rate which equals the failure rate of quitting cold turkey. These crumbs usually go back to drugs like a dog returns to his vomit.
