Taylor Swift may be the hottest thing in pop music right now, but that hasn't stopped the reigning queen, Britney Spears, from narrowly beating her to the top of Forbes' latest list of the highest earning women in music.
Thanks to her latest album, "Femme Fatale," her tour in support of it, endorsements and a spot as a judge on "The X Factor," the 31-year-old pop legend earned a cool $58 million.
Taylor, 22, was just behind Britney though, with $57 million, thanks to her record-breaking album "Red," which went triple platinum in less than a month. Rihanna pulled in at No. 3 with $54 million, thanks to her new album "Unapologetic" and her last album, "Talk That Talk," which was still among the bestsellers this summer.

Rounding out the list were Lady Gaga (just behind with $52 million), Katy Perry ($45 million), Beyonce ($40 million), Adele ($35 million), Sade ($33 million), Madonna ($30 million), and Shakira ($20 million). Who's your favorite on the list?

There was no photoshop in the 1980s.
Her singing the theme for Skyfall won me over.
Being thhhe biggest money machine does not mean being the most talented.
The Lady and her obnoxiousness makes me Gag, just because Katie likes cats does not make me a fan, I'm not!
Madonna has talent and greater experience.
I have been a fan for over twenty five years.
It doesn't mean that I like all of her songs, to the contrary!
