'Breaking Bad' Breaks Fiction: Do You Watch the Show?

What? in the age of internet ppl still watch tv? really?

yeah some of us actually like tv. some good stuff on there sometimes.

Started at the begining and can't BREAK away from it!

i know!!! isnt it one of the best on tv?? and sons of anarchy too!!! love them both!!!

I tried SOA, but it's hard to have too many shows to watch! Everyone says "OH! BIRD! YOU HAVE TO CHECK OUT THIS SHOW!! IT ROCKS!!" but if I did that to all the shows people say are great, I'd live in front of the TV!! Hell the honey-doo list would blow up out of proportion! I caught Breaking Bad from the pilot and just couldn't believe how good the writing was, how well they pulled off the characters, and the personality changes that have been going on since it started! I caught tonights episode and I'm still blown away at the plot twists and trying to figure out where Walt is headed!! An AMAZING show!

kind of a great escape from all the political bs and take our minds off the problems in this country for a while wouldnt you say??

I have a friend that comes over to watch it in my garage office every sunday night! I laughed my ass off when last seasons cliffhanger was done, and he wanted to know when this seasons premier was starting back up, and when he found out it was over 7 months he freaked! I laughed! Most folks don't know cable shows usually only tape 13 episodes compared to 20-something for network shows!

I started in the middle of season two, then caught up after the season. Love it.

Why would I to watch a meth dealer? For me TV is to get away from real life for a while. A good Sci-Fi or something not drug dealers.

It's more deep than just drug dealers.

Still doesn't interest me. I really hate hearing the automatic audio when coming on a poll!

Automatic audio?

Yes, everytime I answer There is a piece of audio from the show that plays and trust me it does not make it sound appealing!

Thats the thing, Walter White is not a dealer, he is a chemist. It's much more deeper than that basic thought pattern. Yes, BB will have you rooting for the bad guy, who is not really a bad guy. He is a square, middle class American ex-chemistry teacher who was diagnosed with cancer, fired from his job and thought to be dying soon from this cancer. Thinking of his families future without him he decided to use his knowledge of chemistry to create the greatest meth to ever touch the planet and make money to leave his family (which consists of a newborn daughter and a handicapped teenage son). Although he is a chemist he also is a great thinker and gets himself out of trouble all the time, and the troubles are usually huge. Especially the troubles he has to try and avoid from his DEA agent brother-in-law who is hot on his trail (without knowing Walt is involved in anything at all). The story is so complex and has a huge range of emotions involved. It is a must see for realism.

But it's on my list. I wait until I can watch a whole season (or seasons) at once without interruption. It seems that cable (and I mean non pay cable) is getting a very good talent pool of writers.

yep thats what we did got the whole season on that too now we will have to get netfix for the next season

This guy is my favorite.

If it's a show that doesn't attempt to preach to me, then I'm game. I rarely watch TV, but when I do it has to be entertaining, not overly thought-provoking. I recently watched the entire series of "Doc Martin" and "Downton Abbey" both very enjoyable because of the absolute near perfection of the acting, writing, producing, directing and all the other stuff that goes into a production.

I had never watched it before and my best friend hounded me into watching it. Being four seasons behind i started the first season on Netflix. You want to talk about a great show, this is probably the best show I have ever watched in terms of technical qualities. The acting is amazing, the writing is brilliant and the direction is flawless. But what really stands out to me as a fan of cinema is the camera work, gorrgeous. I started Breaking Bad last month and I am fully caught up now. Best show ever.

My siblings do, and I started watching it but never caught up :( I wish I did.....
