Stephanie Rose Bongiovi, the 19-year-old daughter of Jon Bon Jovi, has been arrested at her college in Upstate New York after allegedly having a heroin overdose. According to TMZ, cops were sent to her dorm room in response to a report that Stephanie was unresponsive after taking the drug.

The Town of Kirkland Police Department has reported that emergency medical personnel were also at the scene, where Stephanie was found to be alive. A drugs task force found a “small quantity” of heroin as well as marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Stephanie, who is Jon’s only daughter and his eldest child with wife Dorothea Hurley, was arrested under charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and criminally using drug paraphernalia. A 21-year-old male was also charged with possession. Stephanie was released from custody and has been ordered to appear in court at a later date. Do you think it’s possible to grow up normal in the world of rock and roll?

It's a shame the media is sensationalizing this story. My heart goes out to Jon and his family. This man now runs a charity restaurant in Jersey, where all are welcome whether you can pay or not, and the menu has no prices.

I think so. Depends on example, and parental teaching. What a shame! Get some professional help for her.

I think it has nothing to do with what kind of music you listen to, it's all about parenting. If the parents set up good examples, the kids would follow up and turn out just fine, if the parents are no good, neither would the kids be. so don't blame rock 'n' roll when you don't know how to raise a child

Normal is the opposite of "abnormal"...

And you know what "abnormal" means... don't you? Come-on. Be honest.

Like any demographic; exceptions prove standards can be broken. That said there's is allot of evidence to suggest environment plays the biggest role in influencing your decisions, so exceptions sure but I wouldn't say majority.

But there is more than one reason that I say this. No one is normal. Everyone is unique. To truly be normal, things would have to be boring and the same thing everyday. But they are not. If you are a celebrity things are twice as difficult to be considered sane. Being caught up in that lifestyle is difficult for any kid. So no, there is no way to grow up normal as a celebrity but growing up normal is not really a reality either.

And he gets HUMONGOUS federal tax breaks and agriculture payments for his New Jersey farm that offset the cost of his "charity". It isn't an altruistic act if one is making MONEY on it.

Yes, you can. It is called BEING RESPONSIBLE. But I would not expect her to have been raised with a sense of responsibility, given that her idiot dad supports obama. She will probably blame some random school official for her problem.

    Good grief.

It is a matter of the morals and lessons taught at home.

Supporting a person who thinks abortion is ok and others should pay for contraception is like saying do whatever you want, you will not be penalized.

Supporting a person who believes that everyone should have the right to decide what they want to do with their bodies is accepting that everyone should make their own decisions.
^I don't see how this is wrong. I'm against abortion, yes, but who am I kidding? It's not my choice. If women want to get an abortion, then let them. It's their bodies and their decision.
  • Lanikai TheHush... 2012/11/15 21:43:11

Supporting a person who NEVER wants anyone held accountable for their OWN stupid actions IS a family thing.

She was an idiot, a usual result.

Abortion is NOT only about their "own stupid actions." What if the girl got RAPED and wants to abort the child she's carrying of her raper? How the Hell do you explain that?! That's not something she decided- it wasn't her FAULT.
By supporting everyone's right to decide one's not restraining from holding people accountable for their actions.
