May 11, 2010 marks the 29th year anniversary of Bob Marley's death. The reggae singer, songwriter and musician was 36 when he succumbed to acral lentiginous melanoma, a form of malignant melanoma he fought for four years.
The year before his death, Bob Marley completed a major tour in Europe, staging a 100,000-person concert in Milan. When Marley returned from the tour, he performed twice in America before growing ill and returning to his home, Jamaica to die.
Years following his death, Marley was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and in 2001, was posthumously awarded the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award. His best known songs include "I Shot the Sheriff," "No Woman, No Cry" and "Stir It Up."

But honestly, Anniversarys are for celebrating. Death is not usually a thing to celebrate. So were celebrating his anniverary of 29 years of death. Great. *sigh*reply
