It's been forever since I heard this one. Thought you all might enjoy it as well. IMO, better than the Paper Lace version.

    It was OK.
    Paper Lace promoted in OZ, but this guy has a betta voice.
    But the production of sound - some things better in this one, and some of the production betta from Paper lace

    Just another hit song for me though :)

    AND "OMG, haven't heard that in forever!!!!!" I was around 11 and I liked the song, but at the age I was, I thought it so sad that her boyfriend had died :(

    I have both version. The other one by Paper Lace. I am not sure which came out first. Too many years ago.

    I think both came out in 1974. It is like the song needles and pins. I can not remember who sang it first either.

    I rememeber being at the local arena every saturday with that song blaring through a cheap, loud horn speaker, getting scratchier and scratchier every week during that winter (they actually had real 45 record on the turntable back then). Every weekend this was one of the most played songs that winter while all us "cool" guys skated with our girlfriends thinking it couldn't get much better. .....thinking back it didn't get much better ! In Asia I was taught a word that cannot be propery described and has to experienced, that fit those afternoons...Kife.

    Hi Junior...yeah I like the thought it brings back but I believe it was the Paperlace version we skated to. all the same it's still the song that evokes the memory...

    Haven't heard this in a very long time. Remember it well and would hear it a lot back in the day. Yes, "Don't be a Fool With Your Life" Billy, like so many others that went and still going to be a hero just for the greed and need for power trips of our government. (being that this song came out in the VIet Nam era)

    The Heywoods also did the theme for Gilligan's Island, at least that's what I saw on one of the comments when I was searching youtube for this.

    Dating myself, but it reminds me of driving to the beach and singing along in the backs seat anticipating sand between my toes and the smell of salt water! You always bring the best memories!

    I've got it, but I'm fairly sure it's from the Paper Lace album. I can't look iTunes doesn't like running when I'm doing Ame's HD link. I'm finally looking at the Venus transits, they're hot. An astronaut took a sun filter and took shots from ISS, and someones made a short anime out of them and the SDO shot it too. I can't wait to see what Hawaii got.
