As Lil Wayne emerged from prison on Thursday, Bill Clinton anticipated a strong return for the rapper and wished him the very best.
Huh?
"This guy's smart," Clinton told NPR, "and he's got ability, and he's got a new chance now. What I hope will happen is that he has a good life now."
Lil Wayne left Rikers Island prison in New York after serving eight months of his one-year sentence on gun charges.

The 28-year-old rapper blogged from jail, "I think back to when I first arrived and I had no clue of what I'd be experiencing. I was never scared, worried, nor bothered by the situation. For that, I thank God, my family, and you, my amazing fans. I prayed for you all every night, as I'm aware that I was in your prayers as well. I will be the same Martian I was when I left, just better."
He was a Martian when he got locked up?
Lil Wayne may have had the best prison sentence ever. His chart-topping "I Am Not a Human Being" was released from the slammer. But we're not sure why Clinton cares.

We've missed you baby and us fans are your backbone to help you keep strong and standing up straight. Cant wait for your come back..
I wish him the best, but Americans have better things to worry about than Bill's feelings towards Lil Wayne!
Personally I could care less.
Besides, he's Little Wayne. He isn't Tyrone Wilks, or Demetrius Bennett, or Robert Stiffs.
I know- you're asking "Who are they?" EXACTLY. The other three are just average guys with no claim to fame who's lives are destroyed because they did jail time; now they can't find decent jobs, one has to register as a sex offender everywhere he moves, and they certainly aren't making the money Little Wayne does to support their families.....
Simple. To hope they can get their life back on the right track and not end up back in there.
