"Glee" has taken a lot of heat for not being as good as it used to be, and here's the ultimate proof that the critics are right: For the first year since the show started, Jane Lynch did not get an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress In A Comedy Series for playing the world's nastiest cheerleading coach, Sue Sylvester (she won in 2010).

Other snubs at Thursday morning's Emmy nominations: Everyone loved the weepy series finale of "House," but Hugh Laurie did not get a nod for Outstanding Lead Actor In A Drama Series.

Julianna Margulies earned a nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress In A Drama Series, but "The Good Wife" was shut out of the Outstanding Drama Series category. Ditto for "Parks and Recreation": Amy Poehler scored a nod for Outstanding Lead Actress In A Comedy Series, but "Parks and Rec" was left out of the Outstanding Comedy Series category.

Plus, for the first time since the creation of the category, "Survivor" host Jeff Probst was not nominated for Outstanding Host For A Reality Or Reality-Competition Program.

Sorry, but the Oscars, the Golden Globes, the Emmys...they are all just narcissistic award shows for overpaid actors and actresses. There is no special award for any other job for doing your job. Their reward should be the ratings, not some pretentious award show decided by a panel of unknown judges.
BTW, I selected Hugh Laurie because of his ability to play a drug addict and convince an American audience that he is american, and not British.

I'm surprised. Despite the previous couple seasons not being quite what it used to be, "House" was an damn astounding series, and Hugh Laurie was the perfect man for the main character and backbone for its run.

    Shame.

Parks and Recreation ... that is the predominant major of football players at Penn State. It would be 100% if it wasn't for the child molestation major which has bee gaining ground under the radar.

i only picked hugh laurie as im a fan of his from comedy series blackadder in england. never really followed house. how do the emmys get voted for? is it like the oscars by people in the industry? if thats the case, then most of the voting can be for office politics reasons ie a producer can say "vote for me/my show/s and there's a part/job in my new series for you" implying that people feel like their arm's beeen twisted. Im sure the public might come up with different winners if they had the choice themselves. after all, shows depend on ratings or they get pulled off air. or at least only shown on some godforsaken channel way down the satellite listings

She got nice. Since she got nice the edge just isn't there. I NEVER knew a teacher to change character as has happened with Jane's.

Only reason I picked John Noble was because he's someone I don't know.
Really now.... Snubbed? Not getting nominated? Snubbed? Really? It's become this.. Actors.....playing a role.....playing dress up and pretend.. are thought to have been snubbed because they are not fawned over, praised endlessly by other "pretenders", not nominated to be more adored, more praised, placed higher than other pretenders? Really? and this is what is considered snubbed? Why don't they just do their jobs, play pretend.. and live their lives.. why do they feel the need to have nearly an award show a day, to praise each other for something that they get paid an exhorbant amount of money to do.. When you really stop and think about it.. they get lots and lots of money to pretend to be someone else, and they try really hard to make you believe they are really that charachter, in short a person....wow... and this is what they feel the need to have awards for? Not me.. I give the award to the cop who goes out every day and protects the public even when he/she is being spit on or verbally abused, or the guys who pick up my trash every week, or the cashier in the grocery store whose paying for their own schooling to better themselves, or the lifeguard at the pool who not only has the lives of many in hi...

Yeah I know who the real heros are, they are the normal everyday people who I see everyday in my own "Reality Show". I don't need a television award show to glamorize or suck up to them or to idolize. I have my own award show every day....I just tell them whenever I can, that "I appreciate what you do and thank you for doing it". Doesn't cost me a dime, but I gotta tell you, it makes most people smile and say thanks for noticing....works every time...and that my friends is "Reality"...

Easy choice and it looks like many agree with me. I would have liked to see more nominations for "Harry's Law" and "Touch" as well, but the most prominent absence seems to be "Once Upon a TIme," truly last year's best show.
