Animation lovers will get two chances to enjoy creepy-but-funny 3D fare this fall. Fans will most likely flock to theaters to catch the charming Adam Sandler movie “Hotel Transylvania.” But others might wait a week to check out the long-anticipated feature length version of Tim Burton’s cult-favorite, short film “Frankenweenie” instead.
For those who are looking to kick off their Oscar screening season, they’ll want to check out Wes Anderson’s first directorial excursion since “There Will Be Blood.” Joaquin Phoenix is still working his way back from his faux-early retirement in the religiously charged movie “The Master.” Action fans have been looking forward to the reimagining of “Judge Dredd” for a while now. But when it comes to the big screen, fanboys will finally decide if Karl Urban can fill Sly Stallone’s shoes in “Dredd.”
After stumbling with “Speed Racer,” many believe that the sci-fi epic “Cloud Atlas” will help the Wachowskis get back on top of the box office. But many wonder if the sprawling story will translate to the big screen. Devotees of the historical biopic weren’t really down with what Timur Bekmambetov did to the 16th President in “Abe Lincoln: Vampire Hunter.” But Steven Spielberg’s treatment of Honest Abe should be a much truer representation of what the Great Emancipator was really like, especially with Daniel Day-Lewis beneath the stovepipe hat. So, SodaHeads... Which fall movie are you most excited to see?

PS- And doesn't the Frankenweenie guy look just like a little Victor (of the Corpse Bride)? That's how you could immediately tell it was a Tim Burton film.
Where is "Skyfall," though?? That's on Nov. 9th, easily still fall. I can kind of see why not "The Hobbit" with its holiday release date, but to overlook Bond is nearly unforgivable.
Martin Freeman is perfect for the job!
