That's the damn problem with these "Liberal" minded people who think they can be friends with their children. NO! Be a damn parents. There is a pecking order in my house: Father or Mother, then the kids. I am the Commander in Chief and I share that position with my wife. Kids don't own anything, they can't talk back to me in a disrespectful manner... heck no! Parents and then children.
That just shows me how nutty she is thinking that her BABY is her BEST friend!

t’s been a good year for Beyonce. First, there was the Inauguration performance, then the Super Bowl halftime show and finally, the Grammy awards. Up next, is an HBO doc "Life Is But A Dream" and a world tour called “The Mrs. Carter Show.” It doesn’t get much better for a singer. And yet nothing tops the birth of her child, Blue Ivy, one year ago. At least that’s what she told Vogue, who proclaimed 2013 the Year of Beyonce.
She explained to the fashion magazine that she’s had a very close bond to her baby since she was in the womb. And that the day Blue was born was the best day of her life. She even managed to put her own discomfort aside saying, “I imagined this tiny infant doing all the work, so I couldn’t think about my own pain.”
And now that her baby is in the world, Queen B declares that little baby Blue is, “my road dog, my homey, my best friend.” And while most moms can relate to the fact that there’s an instant bond after childbirth, “best friend” might be taking that a step too far... especially if your offspring is still just an infant. What do you think? Can babies be best friends?

animal, music or a baby. A baby is a mother's pride and joy and I'm fully with Beyonce on this one. My cats are my best friends besides Jesus of course so how much more would
a baby be ? A baby is a gift from God and I can appreciate her sentiments. I would feel exactly the same way.
That is the Babies perception of the matter as well, their Mom is the remote controlled, (mainly Cry Operated), Robot that does anything they learn how to utilize.
After that age Mom or Dad are still one level above and not the same level!
It is the authority level.
Once you become best friend with them you lose this authority & it is wrong at this age.
It's similar to a somewhat childish worker becoming best friends with their boss.
They need you to be the loving disciplinarian that is going to keep structure and order in their lives.
You will have their whole adulthood to be their best friends : )
