Beyonce Promises She’ll Sing Live at the Super Bowl: Do You Care If She Does or Not?

The big rumble in the music industry for the last week or so has been the did-she-or-didn’t-she Beyonce Inaugural lip-syncing scandal. Various versions of the tale have circulated but the singer kept mum on the topic... until now. At a pre-Super Bowl press conference, Beyonce came out with all guns blazing. She started by singing the “Star Spangled Banner” live and a cappella to prove she has what it takes to pull off the tough song.



Then she admitted that due to cold weather, lack of rehearsal time and the sheer significance of the event, she did, in fact, sing to a pre-recorded track at the President’s big day and that it is a common practice in the industry these days. She added, “I am very proud of my performance.” After all, it was her singing the stunning rendition, albeit not live.

Still, she promised she has had plenty of practice leading up to the Super Bowl and that she will be "absolutely singing live" for the event. She was less forthcoming with other details of the performance like the rumored Destiny’s Child reunion. What do you think? Do you care if Beyonce sings live or not?

    there's SO MANY OTHERS that are far more talented and unrecognized ...
    How about they give these talented a place to show their talent in real life

    If your the award winning Grammy entertainer you claim you are making billions upon billions I would think you have the talent to sing live all the time. rump shaking

    I am not a fan of Beyonce. I never was and never will be. I care mainly about
    what team wins and I like the halftime show if they show me a little talent.

    Why does Beyonce have to sing at all. There are so many great singers who know how to sing the "Star spangled Banner". Beyonce kills the song. She sings so off key. When she can't hit the high notes she screams them out.

    I'll be watching from home. It won't be "live" either way (unless she wants to come over and watch the game with me). The girl can sang..I know it and you know it.

    I don't really care and don't understand what all of the controversy was over the inaugural event as well. Of course the controversy was probably just the normal right wing bashing anything that is about President Obama and anything that could tarnish his inaugural day.

    She isn't going to sing it as written anyway. She'll do vocal aerobics with the notes till the Star Spangled Banner won't even sound the same.

    Her own demonstration shows how badly she sings without the help of machines. A live performance from her is nothing short of torture. If anything she should be honest and admit she can't sing.
