If you think showing up at a party in the same dress as someone else is embarrassing, just think what it must be like for a fashionable celebrity on Madison Avenue for New York Fashion Week.
Fortunately, Leighton Meester and Beyonce Knowles didn't wear this dress on the same night, but the media didn't take long to pick up on it when Beyonce showed up in it on September 13, almost nine months after Meester wore it.
Beyonce fills it out better than Meester, but Yahoo's Runway fashion columnist suggests her hair and earrings are too much for the otherwise simple outfit, while Meester kept the accessories to an absolutely minimum when she wore it to the red carpet for "The Roommate" earlier this year.
The dress was designed by Michael Kors, typically known for his work in women's sportswear but also highly regarded for formal floor-length gowns like this one.
Beyonce's earrings are by Lorraine Schwartz and her clutch is by Alexander McQueen.
In related news, Britney Spears is reportedly offering Beyonce parenting advice, telling her to "just do whatever you want to do. If you want to take two or three years off because, you know, they grow so fast; it happens so fast. Just treasure the moments."
