Who is the better NFL quarterback right now: New England Patriots' Tom Brady or New York Football Giants' Eli Manning? Here's a better question: Who would have thought this question would be asked back in 2007, let alone 2012? Just one year ago, Manning threw 25 interceptions and was still good enough to almost lead the Giants to the playoffs. Almost.
This season, the Giants made the playoffs by winning two straight games to clinch the NFC East. Make no mistake about it. There are a lot of valuable players on the Giants, but no one has been more clutch than Manning, who threw for nearly 5,000 passing yards and 29 touchdowns -- compared to just 16 interceptions. With consecutive playoff wins over Atlanta, Green Bay, and San Francisco, the Giants are riding a wave of momentum heading to Super Bowl XLVI.
Not to be outdone, Brady had a stellar season, throwing 39 touchdowns and for 5,235 passing yards -- with only 12 interceptions. He also led the Patriots to the AFC East crown, the conference's No. 1 seed, and the franchise's fifth Super Bowl appearance in a decade.
If you compare career to career, Brady has the statistical edge. He's in the record books with more touchdown passes and three Super Bowl rings (five appearances overall). But Manning beat Brady's Patriots in the Super Bowl four years ago and the NFL is about "what you've done for me lately." Brady will go down as the better quarterback when it's all said and done, but if Manning beats him on the biggest stage again, Peyton's little brother can say he's one of, if not the best -- at least right now. Or can he? Let us know who you think is the better quarterback for the time being: Eli Manning or Tom Brady?

The Birdman 2012/02/01 01:19:15Eli Manning+4Both Great QB's, but as a Raiders fan and having a long memory, the "Snow Bowl" farce lingers long, and I can't wait to see the Giants put Brady on his butt!

But, Eli is damn good & getting better. He's one of the best. He may eventually be the best in the league.
AND this guy are the best of todays NFL!
Look, I'm not saying he's "the best" but he's a hell of a lot better than good.
