  2. George Michael

    George Michael

Michael has had his share of personal problems, but he had plenty of fan support as he took the stage to sing his hit song"Freedom."

  3. Russell Brand

    Russell Brand

Who knew Russell Brand could sing? The funnyman (and Katy Perry's ex) sang "Pure Imagination" and "I Am the Walrus," to mixed reviews.

  4. The Who

    The Who

Fans were furious when NBC delayed The Who's performance to show a preview of its new comedy "Animal Practice."

  5. One Direction

    One Direction

The boy band of the moment performed their hit song, "What Makes You Beautiful."

  6. Annie Lennox

    Annie Lennox

Lennox sounded great singing her 1993 hit "Little Bird."

  7. Pet Shop Boys

    Pet Shop Boys

The Pet Shop Boys' 1984 hit "West End Girls" was the perfect tribute to the host country.

  8. Brian May/Jessie J

    Brian May/Jessie J

We'd never heard of British pop star Jessie J, but apparently she's big enough to be chosen to sing “We Will Rock You” with Queen’s Brian May. And, um, we liked her outfit.

Did the Spice Girls spice up your life Sunday? The "Girls" (now pushing 40 with plenty of babies between them) reunited Sunday night for the Olympics Closing Ceremony -- and even London Mayor Boris Johnson couldn't help but dance along to "Wannabe" and "Spice Up Your Life." However, we were a little worried that Victoria Beckham was going to fall off that car she was teetering on!

Overall, the Closing Ceremony felt like one big rock concert. George Michael has had his share of personal problems, but he had plenty of fan support as he took the stage to sing his 1990 hit, "Freedom." We'd never heard of British pop star Jessie J, but apparently she's big enough to be chosen to sing "We Will Rock You" with Queen’s Brian May. But fans were furious when NBC delayed The Who's performance to show a preview of its new comedy "Animal Practice."

Jessie J is huge in the UK... since about 2010. Great Voice... BUT the WHO (well Daltry and Townshend plus support) topped everybody....Still among the true giants of British rock. Great stadium anthems...

None of the above really though I did enjoy George Michael and The Who. I would have chosen Queen if that was even an option... but then I saw this Jessie J character butcher ''We Will Rock You''. Heck, Freddie Mercury's hologram should have done it, although I find the entire hologram trend a bit creepy.

The best part of the Closing Ceremony for me was seeing the video of John Lennon singing ''Imagine'' and then some of the performers made a sculpture-like image of his face. I thought that was fantastic!

If she's a man, she's a damn hot feminine one.
I'd rather have small breasts on a woman than a bunch of flab.

In my opinion George Michael was good to me and the spice girls. You know they all have gotten older with their own families and time as changed. The over all of the Olympic entertainers was great!

It was the most boring closing ceremonies I have ever watched. I was able to watch 30 minutes of it.

I loved the opening ceremonies but the closing was a complete yawn fest.

After such an incredible Olympic opening ceremonies, they truly fell thru on the closing!!
What happened to Elton John? Where was Phil Collins? How about Eric Clapton? or
Led Zepplin? The Rolling Stones (although Jagger looks horrible!) Who were The Who
imposters?? The futuristic lighting and special effects were simply spectacular and Rio de
Janiero had better start working on their show starting today.!!
