  2. George Michael

    George Michael

Michael has had his share of personal problems, but he had plenty of fan support as he took the stage to sing his hit song"Freedom."

  3. Russell Brand

    Russell Brand

Who knew Russell Brand could sing? The funnyman (and Katy Perry's ex) sang "Pure Imagination" and "I Am the Walrus," to mixed reviews.

  4. The Who

    The Who

Fans were furious when NBC delayed The Who's performance to show a preview of its new comedy "Animal Practice."

  5. One Direction

    One Direction

The boy band of the moment performed their hit song, "What Makes You Beautiful."

  6. Annie Lennox

    Annie Lennox

Lennox sounded great singing her 1993 hit "Little Bird."

  7. Pet Shop Boys

    Pet Shop Boys

The Pet Shop Boys' 1984 hit "West End Girls" was the perfect tribute to the host country.

  8. Brian May/Jessie J

    Brian May/Jessie J

We'd never heard of British pop star Jessie J, but apparently she's big enough to be chosen to sing “We Will Rock You” with Queen’s Brian May. And, um, we liked her outfit.

Did the Spice Girls spice up your life Sunday? The "Girls" (now pushing 40 with plenty of babies between them) reunited Sunday night for the Olympics Closing Ceremony -- and even London Mayor Boris Johnson couldn't help but dance along to "Wannabe" and "Spice Up Your Life." However, we were a little worried that Victoria Beckham was going to fall off that car she was teetering on!

Overall, the Closing Ceremony felt like one big rock concert. George Michael has had his share of personal problems, but he had plenty of fan support as he took the stage to sing his 1990 hit, "Freedom." We'd never heard of British pop star Jessie J, but apparently she's big enough to be chosen to sing "We Will Rock You" with Queen’s Brian May. But fans were furious when NBC delayed The Who's performance to show a preview of its new comedy "Animal Practice."

I think they should have left Freddie up there on the screen and let Brian May play along with that!

The next Olympics are going to have seven day of opening ceremony's and seven days of closing ceremony's with 2 days of events. It seems the ceremony's are bigger than the events.

I mean DAYUM they were GOOD considering their age. I loved them all even One Direction....well maybe not so much Russell Brand but all of it was great.

Who the hell doesn't know Jessie J????? She's one of my favorite pop stars! I thought she did a fantastic performance of her mashups and the Queen music.

No doubt. One direction shouldn't have even been in there, or Russell Brand, Bleh to them both, but The Who definitely.

Spice Girls were great but I was waiting on the Who,fan since 1974. But I am one of those pissed Americans about the cut off by NBC.No wonder I don't watch them much except for Law & Order.

I would have voted for the Who but I didn't get to see them perform so I had to base it off of what I did see. Like the description says, I am furious at NBC for delaying the Who's performance so they could show us Animal Practice. I was looking forward to the Who the entire time, and I wound up falling asleep and missing it. Thanks NBC!

I liked Russell the best. While he looked good and his routine was well done he was still a curious choice though, as he was reported before the Olympics saying the opening ceremony was going to be a disaster. Eric Idle doing his quirky hit Always Look On The Bright Side of life was a close second.

You don't have to swear just because you are unable to enjoy the moment. But, hey, that moment is past now. Tooooooo bad for you.
