Best 80s Action Movie of These

It was a really good movie. Lots of action and great actors

I liked the sequels more, because they were designed to be fun instead of depressing.

A lot were good but I like a 44 magnum.

Good movies so many good scenes and sayings. :)

My favorite part was the ending.

I'm a HUUUGE Arnie fan and I saw this on VHS when I was little.

...........Raiders of the Lost Ark and Terminator stand out clearly as the Favorites......but I like another movie on this list...........Escape From New York, with Kurt Russell, and co starring quite a lot of actors....... Donald Pleasance, Ernest Borgnine, Harry Dean Stanton and Adrienne Barbeau, to name just a few, there are more as well, it's a Very good Science Fiction Movie.........I recommend it, You probably already have seen it, but I know, the other two movies have been aired on Cable and Satellite Television, more than Escape From New York........enjoy Your movie watching, I always have a large bowl of theater butter popcorn and a tall beverage, to watch the best of the best, in my store bought DVD and VHS movies, by the way, after every 15 hours of playing VHS movies in Your recorder-player, buy a wet head format VHS cleaning cartridge, and run it one cycle, not the entire cleaning cartridge, I've had to explain to persons getting Their equipment back from the repair shop, how They could have prevented dirty tape heads, due to Their negligence in not owning a VHS wet head, tape cleaning cartridge, I hope this helps, for person's not knowing this.........

Of course Raider's was good, Die Hard was good but where's Firefox and Blue Thunder? [guess we are jes not much interested in very old movies which are now kinda boring]

Respectfully, I've never heard of Firefox and haven't seen Blue Thunder yet [although they both got bad reviews in general; I haven't seen them for myself so I don't have an opinion yet (in fairness, Cobra, The Punisher, and The Dead Pool got bad reviews from critics too)]. I'll put them on my To Watch List.

Firefox may have been critically sabotaged but remains one of the best of Eastwood & even much better than Roy Schneider in Blue Thunder! The styles of these two were engrossing, emotional & exciting! Cobra seems much too phoney & don't care for Stallone. Don't remember the Punisher & vaguely The Dead Pool. Gettin OLD!

Blue Thunder was a good flick.

Cobra is NOT my answer. Never seen it. I saw The Terminator first, so it's one of my favorites, and tied with that movie is Raiders of the Lost Ark. Can't choose between the two.

Yep, Raiders of the Lost Ark is a true classic. : )

But then, again, I watch The Terminator everytime it is on cable. I don't always watch Indiana Jones.

I like Raiders, but First Blood was also excellent.

It was a toss-up, between this one and Raiders of the Lost Ark, but Bruce edged it out with a bit more action and suspense....

Yeah, there are 3 Punisher movies (all reboots, no sequels).

I was afraid of that. Not to offend you, but I hated the 2004 Punisher movie. That Punisher was a weak, sobbing guy who rubbed cherry popsicles on naked men's backs and took 2 hours to do what the normal Punisher would have done in 10 minutes. It was the worst possible interpretation of a merciless vigilante who executes his family's murderers without any regret. I didn't like anything from this one; Tom Jane was a terrible choice for The Punisher.

The 1989 one features Dolph Lundgren as a ruthless enemy of the mafia because he is so heavily depressed and angry. This is the closest interpretation of The Punisher from the successful comic books. The only problem with this one is just how random some parts are (The Punisher's informant/assistant is a homeless man who rhymes every sentence). Overall, it's probably the best one for me.

In 2008, they made a really over the top reboot called Warzone. Warzone is just pure over the top carnage with an over the top story filled with over the top characters. This one is entertaining, but heavily flawed in many ways. This one is pretty campy and silly.

I'd recommend seeing the other two Punishers, just so that you can compare them. Until then, do you want to change your vote from The Punisher?
