Most of Beiber's fans are teenagers and little girls (just to be honest). I believe Gaga has an audience of teenagers along with a much more mature fanbase covering a much wider audience than Beiber.

Honestly, this was just totally immature of Beliebers. And even more disappointing, Bieber himself didn't speak out against it. All he really does is try to get his crap up to #1 by making "deals" with his fans. And even so, Lady Gaga has been gaining a million fans like what, every two and a half weeks? Plus, JB really is just a fad. My sister was crazy over him for a few months, and now she's totally dropped him and moved on to One Direction (SMH) and yet, I've been a die hard monster for years. Obviously Beliebers don't have a clue how loyal Gaga's fans are. And by the way, it didn't work. A little bit after they started the trend, she jumped up to 22 million. Joke's on them. Paws up. Bam.

JB is the talentest musician out there AND he has been working his arse off since he was a little boy. His fans know that and LOVE that about him. Lady Gaga is a wannabe Madonna, plus she goes to "extremes" just for the attention and the shock value. That's not artistic....and I'm not sure if she is actually a "lady".

I understand where you're coming from but I'm telling you JB is very talented. I'm guessing you don't know much about his background and probably don't care to know. But he plays the drums, the piano, guitar and a few others that I can't remember right now. He is really good. He's been playing some of those instruments since he was a little boy. I can understand with Disney pumping out teen sensations every two seconds why you think he is a product of that genre. But he's not. He used to sing and play his guitar on the street when he was only 9 or 10. He was discovered on youtube by a producer who eventually introduced him to Usher. But even then he traveled from tiny venue to tiny venue to radio stations all over and worked his a** off to get his music played. All of that before the age of 18. You can't do that if you're not talented unless maybe you have the Disney or Nickelodeon machine behind you..BUT he didn't! You don't have to like his music but come on give the kid some credit. He can sing, dance, play 5 or 6 instruments, write and produce songs. If you don't consider that talent then I don't know your definition of the word. And even if you (somehow) don't consider that talent then at least give the guy some credit for working hard from such an early age. I HATE heavy metal and hard rock but many of those guys are still talented musicians and many of them had to bust a** to make it happen. I don't care for their music at all but I give credit where credit is due.

I'm technically too old to know about this kind of thing, but in reality I know who both of these people are simply by virtue of the fact you can't live your life with your head in the sand. Those two musicians are probably the most popular on the planet. Bieber's got his enormous fanbase and so does Lady Gaga. That being said, there's no way Gaga is going to lose any followers on Twitter just because Bieber's fans are waging war. It's 21 million to 19 million, which seems to be relative, i.e., both have a TON. My personal opinion is that Bieber's fans should let it go. Lady Gaga will continue to have more followers, and Bieber's fans should enjoy his popularity. I will say that Bieber is getting older, his voice will start changing, and his popularity may drop off to a degree. Lady Gaga as she gets older may experience some of that as well, because her fans will get older too.
