Barbara Walters Names One Direction Among Her 'Most Fascinating People' List for 2012: Do They Fascinate You?

In her upcoming special, "Barbara Walters Presents: The 10 Most Fascinating People of 2012," the legendary reporter has named British boy band One Direction as one of the most significant personalities of the last 12 months.

According to ABC, others who've made it onto the list include "Fifty Shades of Grey" author EL James, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, Olympic gold medalist Gabby Douglas, "Argo" director/writer/star Ben Affleck, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and 2013 Oscars host and "Ted" director Seth MacFarlane.

Three more people will be added to the list when the special is broadcast on December 12, including her official Most Fascinating Person of 2012. Perhaps number one will be Rihanna, who recently cancelled an interview with Walters despite her claim that she could have really helped her to rehabilitate her image. But back to the British boy band: Does One Direction fascinate you?

    Why should they ?? Without success , the question wouldn't exist , those who fascinate me are these girls who are fond of Bieber , 1D , do they really like songs or it's the boy , who make them like the song .

    I dont like their music... I dont like their faces.... I dont like their hair... Anyone who wears a bow tie and doesn't have grey hair isn't natural... I Can't think of anything that would possibly interest me from a boy band... I didn't even know they were British (I apologise to the world)... I may want to look into them more if one of them strangled the doctor with their own umbilical cord...
