Barack Obama Thinks Beyoncé Is the Best Role Model for His Daughters: Do You?

I find it hard to believe that even Obama himself actually believes she is a good role model. He was probably just saying it out of gratitude for what she has done for his campaign... so the money will keep coming in. I'm sure Beyonce is not a terrible person. And she certainly has outward beauty and knows how to make money. But that to me does not make for a good role model. How can you over look the way she portrays herself on stage. No one would want their child emulating that kind of behavior. A good role model is someone who displays good character in all areas of their life.

To me Aaliyah was the best singer role model there ever was because she was classy, very smart and had a beautiful personality. I liked the way she carried herself and I like the fact that she showed that you could be sexy without being half naked and stank. Aaliyah had a lot of class.

If my choice Had to come from a long list of celebrities, then Beyonce' wouldn't look so bad...but celebrities should not be role models for kids--they just get themselves into too much hot water and media frenzies.

I don't know about the best role model, but she's not a bad one. You NEVER here anything bad about her. She's beautiful, poised, and successful. Just because she's not a prude doesn't mean she's a bad role model.

I live here in Houston, the birth home of Beyonce. For many years this city kissed her family and her a$$es. We have heard just how much she has done in her life and of her successes, but the truth is never stated.

Beyonce is like Oprah, she does nothing unless it bring her name out in a positive light. If no cover or no mentions of her charity, she does not do it. Beyonce and her family are not even in the top ten charitable families in Houston Texas.

Now, if you have read my posts in the passed. It is no secret that I grew up in a wealthy family, but no matter the wealth. What baby need a 12,000 square feet nursery. And why would anyone have to Trade Mark their babies spelling of their name.

I think the word "role model" is over used. Is Bianca successful, of course she is. But me personally, I wouldn't call her a role model.
