Avril Lavigne Is Engaged to Nickelback Singer: Is She Rushing the Romance?

Apparently, Avril Lavigne doesn’t really like being anyone’s “Girlfriend.” At 27, she’s about to tie the knot for the second time. After just six months of dating, she got engaged to Chad Kroeger, the lead singer of Nickelback. Considering the world at large didn’t even know the two were dating, people are shocked that the Nickelback singer popped the question to Avril.

Lavigne was just 21 years old when she married Sum 41 frontman Deryck Whibley in 2006. They dated for two years before marrying in 2006. After three years, they split but maintained a professional relationship. Lavigne moved on to "The Hills" reality TV star Brody Jenner. But after two years, they called it quits in January of 2012.

It now appears that a month later, Lavigne hooked up with Kroeger. Sparks flew when the two got together to write a song for her upcoming fifth album. And now, six months later, they’re planning a trip down the aisle. It all seems a little fast for the serial monogamist. Do you think she's rushing the romance?

    who am i to judge? if they're in love then they're in love. no one can say how they feel about each other etc. i don't care if it's two months...when you know...you know. congrats avril and chad :P

    They both have annoying music are a typical celebrity. No matter how long they date before marriage they'll most likely split.
    Also, if this was an average couple I'd still say good for them. My parents married only six months after dating and are still together and happy almost two decades later.

    As I don't know either of them I couldn't presume to judge. But I do like them both - despite most people's complaints about Nickleback, I love Animals and most of their other songs - I wish them the best of luck.

    I think she is rushing things. she needs to take it slow with her second time getting married. need to really think about what she's doing she's getting married a second time. what made her break up the first 1 is she doing it again she needs to think about those things in her next marriage
