Alex Hermann, a 17-year-old teen with autism, may be the first to ever come away with a perfect NCAA bracket. Hermann and his brother both started a bracket before the tournament started. After the second round, Hermann's brother went to check on the results and was stunned by what he saw. They immediately contacted the media.
Oddly enough, Hermann's picks are full of upsets and would cause quite an uproar if they proved true in the NCAA. It is not rare that autism has given children the ability to comprehend calculations that adults could not. But is this NCAA bracket proof of Hermann's genius, or is it just a fluke?
