If you thought the scenery in "Modern Warfare 3" was realistic, wait until you play "Real Strike." It's almost like watching real-life footage. Actually, it's exactly like that, because that's what you're doing. "Real Strike" isn't quite a video game, but you could think of it as an experiment in future gameplay. The recently-released app is a video recorder that overlays your iPhone or iPad screen with first-person shooter mechanics.

The app include 25 different weapons, complete with realistic animations and sound effects for firing, reloading, and switching, as well as unique viewing modes like nightvision and thermal vision -- all digitally integrated into your camera's viewfinder. The game app also allows for "in-game" video recording so that users can film their own living-room zombie hunts or action movies. Does this sound like an interesting innovation, or a pointless app?

It's an interesting start to the future of Augmented reality. Maybe not the greatest itself, but definite proof of concept for just how our future might be. (Can't wait to get a pair of affordable AR glasses.)

I can think of a number of places where I would want to use this. Granted, it's not a game that I would play as much as other games, but that's obviously not what it's for. It's just a thing you do every now and then when you want to turn a place into a battleground. Also the potential to make real games out of this seems like an amazing idea. It could be a step towards virtual reality. Thumbs up! Keep it cheap and I might just have to get it!

I don`t care about realism in games. I despise it! It kills the fun!
Levels ain`t made anymore to be fun, but linear and filled with cutscenes!

Too much war and violence in the games, but I am not the audience they seek. Young boys like the "feel" of violence. Sometimes comming into the reality of true violence shocks them back into "real life".

I am glad to hear someone of your age who feels that way. I actually know some others, slightly older, who are also not addicted to violence in games. However, there is a large percentage who have these feelings. The games are probably a good outlet for the agressive feelings but sometimes they spill over into real life.

If you think Modern Warfare 3 OR this game have the most realistic graphics, I feel truly and deeply sorry for you. If you want good graphics, try Battlefield 3. Case closed, end of story.

It's good but folks let me tell you all these REAL LIVE SHOOTER GAMES ARE LAME.
NOTHING AND I DO MEAN NOTHING WILL EVER BE THE SAME AS DOING THE REAL THING. THE ADRENALINE RUSH, THE WEIGHT OF THE WEAPON AND THE SMELL IN THE AIR, NO GAME HAS THAT!
