At&t or verizon?

Unfortunately Verizon has better nation wide coverage at least in the eastern part of the USA where I live. I hate the company as it policies are geared to suck more and more money out of you.

I would love the option of a smart phone that doesn't require me to pay at least $30 per month. I just really need wireless as its available many places. Malls, Food chains ect. I have no need to constantly connect.via 3 or 4G.

I don't understand how people can continue to pay $1k plus per year to have a cell phone.

I guess I will stay with my basic service. With so many people that are out of work or poor how does it seem that everyone has smart phones?

I continue to hope that areas outside of large cities will get better coverage by carriers other than Verizon. At this point they fall into what I consider a monopoly. Legally they are not but who can really compete with them outside of large cities?

I've asked this question of colleagues for years. Without reservation they almost always say Verizon.

I didn't know how good service could be until Verizon pulled out of our area.

I've never used At&T;, but I've been with Verizon for over a decade and I've never had a problem with them.
