You may recognize Michael Fassbender for his work in "Inglorious Bastards," "X-Men: First Class" (he played Magneto) or, more recently, "Prometheus." Well, "Assassin's Creed 3" is nearing its October 30th release date, and Ubisoft -- the creator of "Assassin Creed" -- is developing the film themselves, after talks with Sony Pictures fell through.

The film adaptation of popular video game franchise Assassin's Creed will star Michael Fassbender, who will also co-produce through his DMC Film production company

In the early resident evil games yea that was weird. However in RE4 you could move somewhat and I was only mildly bothered due to it being an awesome game all round

This is like the 5th Assassin's Creed but it's called Assassin's Creed 3 what determines which ones get a number after them and which ones don't? I love the imagery in the games I hope it carries over to the movie.

The numbers derive from characters. Altair is Assassin 1, therefore all games which contain him are sub-genres of Assassin's Creed I rather than sequels. Ezio is Assassin 2, therefore all games which contain him are sub-genres of Assassin's Creed II rather than sequels.
