You may recognize Michael Fassbender for his work in "Inglorious Bastards," "X-Men: First Class" (he played Magneto) or, more recently, "Prometheus." Well, "Assassin's Creed 3" is nearing its October 30th release date, and Ubisoft -- the creator of "Assassin Creed" -- is developing the film themselves, after talks with Sony Pictures fell through.

The film adaptation of popular video game franchise Assassin's Creed will star Michael Fassbender, who will also co-produce through his DMC Film production company

Yeah, and they will probably dumb it down with loooottts of talking and a boring story plot. However, if they do it like they did Prince of Persia, then it will rock. But, fi they do it like they did any other vide game-based movie, it will blow.

Sony pictures hasn't disappointed me yet and since they let Ubisoft have full creation rights it's unlikely that they will screw something up. Ubisoft montreal is responsible for brotherhood and revelations to become a little disappointing ( both were great games but didn't live up to my expectations ) but the main Ubisoft wing made 1 and 2 which were flawless, aswell as 3 ( which looks flawless ) and it's also the main part of Ubisoft tha'ts making the movie. So I think that it's going to be great.

Sure, but i doubt it will do the game justice. Awesome story line, the religious freaks won't enjoy it and will probably have something bad to say about it.

I'm excited because Ubisoft is developing the movie themselves, which probably means it's going to stay true to the game.
I also like Michael Fassbender, and not just because he's my countryman. He wouldn't be my first choice, but he'll make a good Altaire.

I've never seen any of his movies (except for maybe 'Inglorious Basterds', but I found that movie so boring, I fell asleep in the beginning), so I can't judge him on his acting, but I know people that get overexcited about how hot he supposedly is and how much they want "Fassbender babies" and I just... don't see it. And I love the games, but him being this movie makes me not want to go see this movie when it's time to release it. *shrugs*

game sucked but this actor sucks more. Inglorious Bastards was crap X-men First Class should be purged from history and Prometheus wow that movie was the worst thing I have seen since Avatar
