Ashton Kutcher Tops Forbes List of Highest Paid TV Actors: Is He Worth It?

In a strange twist of TV fate, Ashton Kutcher has replaced Charlie Sheen as the highest paid actor in television. Last year the troubled Sheen was, indeed, “winning” financially with a salary of nearly $40 million for his turn on “Two and Half Men.” Now 12 months later, Kutcher, Sheen’s replacement on the sitcom, has knocked Charlie out of the top spot. Although Ashton’s salary is almost half of what Sheen was earning, a mere $24 million, it still put Kutcher first on the list.


The roles may reverse again on the 2013 list as Charlie’s salary on “Anger Management” might be enough to topple Kutcher next year. But then again, it also has not been disclosed whether Ashton’s success on the series earned him a salary boost for Season 2, thus getting him a little closer to Charlie’s wages.

Of course both actors have been making a lot more than their co-star Jon Cryer, who this year made just $13 million for his “Two and a Half Men” role. This paycheck planted him at #7 on the list above Patrick Dempsey, Jason Segel, Jim Parsons and Johnny Galecki. Hopefully for Jon, this year’s Emmy win will give him a little negotiating power to boost that figure. What do you think: Is Ashton Kutcher worth the high salary?
