Ashley baby...you would be great...just not in KENTUCKY! I'm from sc and I know kentucky is worser! Don't put that pressure on yourself! Your future baby daddy...M Hood

I'll say yes since there are only two choices. You can't tell until she is elected. Who knew Chris Chrstie would turn out to be a RINO. You don't know until they are into office.

I think you should have included a "Maybe" here because I really have no idea.

But lots of actors/actresses have done ok in the political arena, and I like her style, so why not. Maybe she'll be a big asset.
  • Q 2012/11/10 05:45:23
Aw hell no, I don't care how popular she is in Kentucky she has no business even contemplating a senate run as far as I'm concerned. I want a real candidate to run against Mitch McConnell come 2014 not some mediocre actress whose only seen during UK basketball games anymore.

Mitch McConnell barely squeaked out a win last time around and that was against a virtual unknown democrat opponent. Should Crit Luellen or Ben Chandler decide to make a run for his seat they'd have a much better chance than Ashely Judd ever would. Don't get me wrong its not like I have anything against her. I just don't want her screwing up our best chance to finally rid ourselves of Mitch McConnell. seat chance ashely judd wrong screwing chance rid mitch mcconnell

She may be very well qualified but she is far too pretty...she will be ripped to shreds in the world of politics and by the MSM. Since she seems to be very educated, she is as qualified as our current clown in office.
  • Robert diane RN 2012/11/10 04:43:01
just one correction to your comment. She WAS far too pretty. Not sure how many bees stung her face but something is not right there.

My wife was just telling me 10 minutes before how bad she changed and then I opened up Sodahead. Check her out. Something's not right there.

Ok, just did a google image search....in her worst picture she still looks better than 99.9% of the women I see daily. JMO.

She should give it a go! More than qualified!

I don't have any idea what kind of politician she'd be. But if a B-movie actor can become the president, then what the hell, she can do whatever she chooses.

She's been asked several times this weeks if she'd consider a run and so far she has yet to say yes or no, she instead dodges the question as if she were already in office. That young lady has quite the bright future in politics.
  • MissAdventure 2012/11/10 02:39:49
And just how is she qualified, besides being another opinionated celebrity?

There have already been celebs in House (Ben "Cooter" Jones and Fred "Gopher" Grandy being two such) and Senate (Fred Thompson).

I would like her to run. The Senate could use an environmentalist who knows what the hell they're talking about - as she does.

Well.....at least Ashley would be easy on the eyes. She's really a beautiful woman.
  • thomas.ilgenfritz 2012/11/10 01:13:10
she can be very outspoken..has exceptional intelligence..Just because she is an actor doesn't mean she could not be a great voice for the American people
  • Freeranger 2012/11/10 01:03:39
We all know that there's a difference between playin' a congressional member and being one. Okay, okay.....I'm gonna let that ride. Anyhow [ahem] as "actors", they get to walk away from a part...you do your bit and your done. The difference is that "legislating" anything means that it affects real people---it's not a game nor a role. It's reality.
So, whether it's Judd or anyone else, stay in phreakin' Hollyweird with all your weird friends because we don't want any of you meddling in real life.

The only thing worse than an idiot lawyer politician is an idiot actor politician.
  • legalamericanwoman 2012/11/10 00:33:15 (edited)
No, not at all. We should not depend on people in anyway to guide us whose own professions are nothing more than pretends or entertainment.

We do not need a Yosemite Sam or a Pink Dinosaur leading us. If we live by the choices of peoples who sole industry is to make believe, then everyone is a fool living in a fairytale world where no responsibility exists except for being forced to accept the heavy iron yoke of government ownership.

She cannot even choose good movies to make.

Ivy league universities and friendships among them all , are the same ones turning out all our current and past government officials and business leaders who have caused us all these problems. Why should we be stupid enough to invite more of the same ?

Obama got elected and re-elected. He's by far the worst presidnet ever and his true colors are yet to be shown. There will be a lot of Obama supporters wondering what happened in the next four years.

I'd like to see her run and beat McConnell. lol beat Senator McConnell
  • jo **Starz... 2012/11/10 00:16:20
McConnell is a dignified man; he's been in the senate a very long time. He defends the rights of all no matter how young or old.

Is America that shallow that they only look at superfluities?
