Kim Novak- I have not the slightest doubt that 'back in the day,' as a very hot-headed, pretty violent sort of young guy, that I could quite easily have killed for her!Thankfully, our paths never 'crossed' -as they say- but it just goes to show what a young guy with a persistent 'hard-on' can be capable of! Nowadays, the only thing I find 'hard' in the morning is the act of getting out of bed.

She lives very near to me... is married to a veterinarian now. :)

Really? I believe I saw all her films-certainly all the major ones, anyway. Just recently, "Vertigo" was on British TV-a wonderful film co-starring James Stewart. However, my absolute favourite in which she appeared still has to be "Picnic." with the late,great (and I believe alcoholic!) William Holden. Time marches on relentlessly of course, and I imagine she must be pushing 80 now. Nevertheless, in the mind of one very rapidly ageing Scotsman himself(me!) she will always remain exactly as she was many years ago when she was in her most luscious -and devastatingly sexy-prime!

What a sweet post! She certainly was lovely!I have no idea how she is now, just know she lives very close to me. One neighbor friend is close to her, says she is such a wonderful woman and a dear friend of her's. :)

I just looked her up on Wikipedia, she was diagnosed w/ breast cancer recently, but they say she is doing very well. She has had some other upsetting things happen in her life too. Maybe take a peek at the page for her? Some lovely photos of her too. :)

Thanks, Dana-I will do just that. I didn't know about her breast cancer and I am very sorry to hear it. I certainly hope she makes a full recovery from it.
As it happens, over the years I have read quite a bit about her life in general. I DO know, however, that in her younger years, her life was what could be best described as 'turbulent'-but that is often the flip-side to those such as herself as a film star. Young ,beautiful, rich talented and famous. She had it all and often a 'price' has to be paid for that..Anyway, I wish her all the very best and thank you,also Dana for taking the trouble to let me know about her.
