Arnold Schwarzenegger has had one heck of a life. Bodybuilder. Action star. Governator. Through the years, Schwarzenegger has entertained many on the silver screen and even in his antics. However, he's also taken a major public relations hit, with his criticized stint as California governor, his recent divorce, and of course the shocking revelation that he has a lovechild he kept secret for over a decade.

Have you ever wondered what's gone on in The Terminator's mind along this wild journey he's had? Now you can find out with Schwarzenegger's upcoming memoir "Total Recall: My Unbelievable True Life Story," which partially bears the same name as his 1990 hit film. No matter how you feel about Schwarzenegger's personal transgressions, there's no doubt it at least makes for an interesting read.

Whether the stories about Schwarzenegger's personal life are more fictional than some of his films will be for the readers to decide. A trailer has been released for Schwarzenegger's memoir that looks like it was meant more for a movie than a book, complete with a powerful musical score and the ex-governor's dramatic narration. The memoir will be released October 1.

Yes probably. From his days of staring in prono to being the Governor, his many film credits ...he had come along way. He has lived the American dream for sure. The book sounds good.

That's like saying that Obama CAUSED the recession!

When will the GOP and the conservatives learn about Cause and Effect!

They always deny what they cause!

As I've said before if you didn't succeed during the Reagan era you're incapable of success. The dollar was at its peak, the commies blinked, then collapsed and small businesses thrived

And the middle class shrank, wages were stagnant for 75%of the population, the poor got poorer, the US became a debtor nation, Reagan said that deficits didn't matter, the stock market collapsed, the deregulation of the banks led to the current housing crisis, the S & L debacle cost the taxpayer (but not those who Reagan gave the most tax cuts to) over 300 billion dollars, the value of a 1984 dollar had the same buying power as that of a 1973 dollar, women in the work place lost ground, and Reagan trained and armed the Taliban, which led directly to 9/11 and the terrorism we have today.

Reagan was a real putz and we are where we now because of his flawed economic policies. He was a short term fix, in the LONG RUN he turned out to be a financial failure for the MAJORITY of the country!

"Nearly every" What a generalization! and that is just NOT the case.

The short term gains of Reagan were spectacular (but they did not last) and the long term effects of his policies are still being felt, and in that re-evaluation is a constant.

A case in point on what I am saying.

"...There’s been talk that George W. Bush was so inept that he should trademark the phrase “Worst President Ever,” though some historians would bestow that title on pre-Civil War President James Buchanan. Still, a case could be made for putting Ronald Reagan in the competition.
Granted, the very idea of rating Reagan as one of the worst presidents ever will infuriate his many right-wing acolytes and offend Washington insiders who have made a cottage industry out of buying some protection from Republicans by lauding the 40th President."

As the economy gets worse, and the UNDERLYING CAUSES of that are being traced to their source, reagan -who once looked great- is being looked at in the light of what LONG TERM effects his policies created.

"..With his superficially sunny disposition – and a ruthless political strategy of exploiting white-male resentments – Reagan convinced millions of Americans that the threats they faced were: African-American welfare queens, Central American leftists, a rapidly expanding Evil Empire based in Moscow, and the do-good federal government.
When it came to cutting back on America’s energy use, Reagan’s message could be boiled down to the old reggae lyric, “Don’t worry, be happy.” Rather than pressing Detroit to build smaller, fuel-efficient cars, Reagan made clear that the auto industry could manufacture gas-guzzlers without much nagging from Washington.
The same with the environment. Reagan intentionally staffed the Environmental Protection Agency and the Interior Department with officials who were hostile toward regulation aimed at protecting the environment. George W. Bush didn’t invent Republican hostility toward scientific warnings of environmental calamities; he was just picking up where Reagan left off.
Reagan pushed for deregulation of industries, including banking; he slashed income taxes for the wealthiest Americans in an experiment known as “supply side” economics, which held falsely that cutting rates for the rich would increase revenues and eliminate the federal deficit.
Over the years, “supply side” would evolve into a secular religion for many on the Right, but Reagan’s budget director David Stockman once blurted out the truth, that it would lead to red ink “as far as the eye could see.”

And that is where we are now- and Reagan's REAL legacy is being looked at for what it is.

I'd say Clinton's declining 3 offers for Bin Ladens head makes him also responsible for 9-11. His forcing banks to relax lending standards to get more people into homes makes him responsible for the economic collapse.

Not to mention Chris Dodd and Barney Frank who sat as heads of the banking committee and took bribes (campaign contributions) from Freddie and Fannie to sleep at the wheel while that industry went down in flames. You liberals never want to talk about that. Dodd took so much money, he didn't even use it all in his campaign and pocketed the rest. And yet these men still hold prominent positions. They should be in jail. There is plenty of blame to go around. When one side gets all pious and acts like they weren't there, that doesn't hold any water.

You seem to negate the first deregulation under Reagan that allowed/caused Clinton to do what he did. If the first does not happen, the second won't either. So the economic collapse of the Real Estate markets goes DIRECTLY back to the prime mover-deregulation under Reagan which allowed for the speculation in risky real estate by the Wall Street banks. (after all, all the loans were insured by the federal goverment, so they had nothing to loose) Reagan's HUD scandal also played a part in the current housing debacle!
Bush was warned and failed to heed the warnings. He had plenty of time to act!

And still no acknowledgement of Dodd and Frank. Why can't you admit the problems are bi-partisan?

Dodd and Frank did what they did BECAUSE of the economic climate CREATED by Reagan.

One was due to the other.

Blame me for being in the middle of the intersection when I get hit by your car as you go through the red light.

Man up and put the blame at the SOURCE and stop trying to hand off part of your guilt!

It is you who will not man up. By your logic we can blame everything on George Washington. If you think only one man or one party got us to this stage, you're very biased and or naive

No, not at all. I worked in " Red Heat " which was partially shot in my home town , Chicago. I used to admire him before , but I saw some things that made many rumors cement. I know he's the worse governor California ever had , then the whole world saw what he did to a nice lady like Maria Schriver Kennedy, he probably had to beg to be in the EXPENDABLES movies, as far as I'm concerned, he's washed up.
