The mother of 14-year-old Ariel Winter claims that her daughter, who plays Alex Dunphy on "Modern Family," invented allegations of abuse because she wants to keep dating an 18-year-old.

Winter was taken from her mother Chris Workman’s custody last week, after her sister Shanelle Grey filed a petition claiming that she had been subjected to ongoing physical abuse, food deprivation and insults about her weight, as well as attempts to “sexualize” her.
But according to CNN, Workman claims that Ariel is making these allegations up out of anger that her mother is stopping her from seeing her 18-year-old boyfriend. She says that she “asked Ariel to end her relationship” she has been “bad-mouthing” her and “spreading rumors.” She adds that "Ariel is young and does not understand the severity of the consequences of her actions." Do you believe Workman’s claims?

No+4Chris Workman's account does nothing to address the fact it was Winter's sister, Shanelle Grey, who filed the petition. I am not saying Workman is guilty of the crimes Winter has accused her of committing. That is for a court to decide. However, I think more is going on here than a teenager with an older boyfriend.

And I agree about sexualizing her, saw her (and the rest of the cast) on Larry King and I couldn't believe she was like 12/13 at the time!
WHY Adult would date someone obviously a MINOR in the first place ..
(and being a parent myself .. I'd definitely take this seriously .. )
She's a beautiful girl but I think the attitude and moral values is the biggest qualities in any woman.
The problem isn't she want to date a 18 yo men. If she thinks that way, anyone can take advantage of that; and maybe the problem can be the guy too.
All I can say is that if I had found my 14-year-old in bed with an 18-year-old, the police would be getting a phone call from me in a matter of SECONDS! There is no way I would wait for close to two months before reporting something like that!
