The last couple of weeks in entertainment news haven't just been dominated by The Dark Knight Rises and the Kardashians' newest addition. Robert Pattinson's name has been in the headlines, but not because of Twilight. It was reported earlier this summer that his girlfriend Kristen Stewart cheated on him, leading to their eventual -- and very public breakup.

Of course, it's easy for people, especially fans of Pattinson, to feel bad for the guy. Pattinson thought he had something special with Stewart. He thought they might be together for a long time, if not forever. And to top it all off, his personal life is now on display because of her adulterous ways. It makes sense to feel bad for Pattinson, but the media coverage and fans' celebrity obsession may be getting just a little out of hand.

The number of updates on Pattinson and Stewart's relationship has been almost equivalent to that of the Olympics and the 2012 Election. One day Stewart is worried about what Pattinson is going to say on a talk show. The next day, fans are reading about how they may reconcile. Now that would be a storybook, romantic comedy happy ending fit for Hollywood.

only because i take no notice of it and have not bothered to watch any of the twilight films. I'm just pissed that i went to see that film snow white and the huntsmen without realising it was the same girl from the twilight films - wow her acting was TERRIBLE... spoilt the whole film,. If she's as wooden in bed as she is on the screen I feel sorry for any of her partners

How can I ever tire of this very important matter?

My world fails to exist without me knowing what happens to the ever so important Kris and Robert.

They are so much more important than me and my family.

We should know every aspect about them. They are celebrities and therefor they are important and much more valuable than anybody who is not a celebrity.

Without knowing what they do on a daily basis, I have no reason to live.

They are my should desire for taking every breath and seeing the next day.

Long live Hollywood stars - for they make the world a perfect place to be.
