It certainly is the down side of 24/7 news -- they have to talk even when there is nothing to say. However, they don't really have to shut up; I can and do simply change the channel

I have a TV it hasn't been on in days. I don't have cable and I don't miss it. With so many news chanels now, it is like everyone is saying something to look busy. The news folks want to keep their job like everybody else. So they run hither and thither and yap. Just to keep their bosses happy. Just like the rest of us do.

I hit the mute button on my tv remote often. The problem that causes the grating on our nerves is that there's like a thousand channel where there used to be 13. lol! So all those are going at once, droning on and on because EVERYBODY has an opinion....sort of sounds like I just described onsite here... : )

i dont watch them. maybe an hour or 2 a week at most. i usually get my Jason Lewis fix in on talk radio and read economic, political, and history books. I get most of my news from drudge.

I don't watch TV, I watch internet videos and read news postings shared with me. But you didn't give me a choice for I dont watch TV, so I had to go with Yes. On the other hand, if the tv shows want to start talking the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth, and include All the elements of the stories, then I think they should talk. Don't you?
