EVERYBODY'S LOOK'N FOR A HERO...
All human beings are born to follow someone... it's our nature!
This is not a bad thing... to ADMIRE someone, to want to know them & be like them; providing one is able to maintain their sense of 'self' in the process. Also, it is important to keep a realistic perspective in regard to a hero/idle. Those who loose them-self in 'hero worship' can become 'stalkers' instead of admirers.
Everybody aches to get to meet their hero, It's the whole 'Hem of your garment' syndrome. In simple terms, people think "a brush against greatness, may bring greatness" for the one who is brushed...
Here's the sad truth, we live in an enterprising, often greedy world ready to capitalize on 'the next best thing' Media is especially guilty of this when it comes to Celeb Fans, it's a money driven thing.... So, I hope you're not crushed to know this; MOST CELEB FACE BOOKS, BLOGS, TWITTERS & THE LIKE ARE, 'PUBLICIST RUN' for several reasons, TO BUILD FAN BASE 'YES' & also to protect those who they serve, the Celebs.
Believe what you like, you're going to anyway, but I work in the industry so this is more then just my opinion here.
