This Sunday night, World Wrestling Entertainment hosts one of its most high-profile pay-per-views in "Elimination Chamber," most notably known as the last stop before the promotion's Super Bowl, WrestleMania XXVIII. The event is headlined by three main event matches, including two taking place in the Elimination Chamber.
The Elimination Chamber isn't your grandfather's steel cage match. It's a large black dome structure made of chains and steel mesh, with six pods. Two WWE wrestlers begin the match and every few minutes another wrestler enters in. World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan defends his title in the Elimination Chamber against Randy Orton, The Great Khali, Big Show, Wade Barrett, and Cody Rhodes.
On the other hand, popular superstar and current WWE Champion CM Punk defends his title against Dolph Ziggler, Kofi Kingston, Chris Jericho, R-Truth, and former reality TV star The Miz. Rounding out the main events is The Rock's WrestleMania opponent John Cena, facing legendary wrestling monster Kane is an ambulance match that is bound to be physical. "Elimination Chamber" airs live Sunday night at 8pm/ET on pay-per-view.

WOO WOO WOO YOU KNOW IT BRO
Fake fighting for a championship that is predetermined before the fight ever starts.
But I will say I think both Champs are coming out with their straps.
Modern wrestling is actually getting better.
Here is one the the organizations that I follow:

Wrestling was like that. They'd have those old school interview sessions in the back with Okerlund. Hogan or Piper would rail on and then you'd see them come out to ring side with a little music but simple bar barricades and regular trunks and attire. The focus on wrestling was a little talk before hand and then a match. Today it is much more about the whole experience. Fireworks and pyro and extreme graphics and if you watch the weekly shows its less wrestling and more talk. It doesn't feel as much like an "actual" sporting event as they used to make it feel like. Thats part of the allure of wrestling, its entertainment for guys and guys like sports. So they put on stories centere...

Fortunately there are guys that are worth watching, both on the mic (like Piper used to) and in ring. CM Punk, Chris Jericho, Cody Rhodes is getting there, Daniel Bryan (Bryan Danielson if you want to look up his indy time), a guy named Dolph Ziggler is great in ring (reminds me of a lean Mr. Perfect). The biggest problem isn't with the stars - its with the people booking the shows.
I do urge you to look those guys up (you may know Jericho).
I will check them out.
I looked at the website for a few minutes. Noticed some names. Danny Doring. Bundy. Lawler obviously. Head Banger Mosh. Good times. We have South Broadway Athletic Club wrestling here once a month and i've been to it a couple times. Talk about old school, hole in the wall wrestling.
My good friend Art, Nui Tofiga at MCW, just turned heel for the first time. I missed the show but he said some of the little kids that normally cheered for him actually cried. He was floored by how much they get into it.
Here he is:
