By now, most know the main details about the Penn State scandal that rocked the college football world and beyond. Jobs were lost. Jerry Sandusky will most likely be going to jail for life. And former Penn State head coach Joe Paterno is dead, but the now-infamous legacy he has left is alive, not necessarily well--and quite disturbing.
According to TMZ, legendary actor Al Pacino wants to play the role of Paterno in a new biopic, based on the book "Paterno." An actor as great as Pacino may excel in that role, but it might be too soon for many to actually watch a film based on a man that turned a blind eye to an alleged child molester responsible for so many families' pain.
The hero worship by some students and hardcore Penn State fans for Paterno incited riots last year and was frightening to observers, who could not believe sports trumped damning evidence. The proposed Paterno film could be great, but it remains to be seen whether people will want to spend their hard earned money on a story about a man that was not as innocent as he came off before 2011--especially if it paints him in a favorable light.

Nasty lot out there. No wonder it is a valueless, anti American values cesspool.
