It's been more than a decade since Kurt Cobain's tragic death, but Nirvana singles like "Smells Like Teen Spirit" are still radio staples, and the Nirvana fan base has continued to grow. Because of this, filmmaker Brett Morgen has decided, along with Cobain's widow Courtney Love, that the time is right for a Kurt Cobain documentary.

According to the New York Post, Morgen and Love have been discussing the project since 2007, and it will contain more than 50 hours of interviews and unreleased music. The projected release date is sometime in 2014, but what do you think about the idea? Are you interested in a Kurt Cobain documentary?

ROLLINGSTONE.COM reports:
A new documentary on Kurt Cobain from filmmaker Brett Morgen is in the works and expected to be out in 2014, the New York Post reports.

I never actually listened 2 him tht much, but i love some of his songs and he was the best...my auntie though...she's his biggest fan!! Tht's where I kno him from, so she'll b happy 2 c ths documentary! :)

Not interested at all, especially since my mother passed away last year at 87. She was the only one in the family who sang any of his music! My daughter loved Mom's energy and contrast to my musical tastes, like Beethoven, Wagner, Buck Owens, Jack Greene, the Bangles and Herman's Hermits and artists like Eddie Arnold, Pavorotti, Anna Netrebko, Elizabeth Swartzkoff, Bidu Sayou Andreas Bocceli and me!

Well, I didn't think about them because I don't actually know anyone who likes either of those bands. As a whole though, Kurt receives a lot more praise than he is worth than any one musician I can think of.

You've also got to take into account the generation variable; Nirvana ended more than fifteen years ago, yet there are still a ton of people who are discovering their music and becoming fans. Once you're dead, you obviously can't do anything more to gain fans. When the Rolling Stones release their next album (trust me, it WILL happen), people are going to buy it, just because it's a Rolling Stones album. When people are into something that can no longer adjust to modern times, THAT'S when you know it's worthy.

While it is against my morals to argue with Batman, I would have to disagree because Elvis was around during much different times and actually changed a lot in the music industry. I don't actually think Curt did anything that I would call "revolutionary."

Granted, there is music and then there is music....most of what is called music these days is just noise.....and of course other real talent can be found in groups...I am just not one to glorify a person who fell under the spell of drugs, and poor behavior and make it seem like it is normal or good....

Shut up, you're a horrible judge of talent. Kurt and Amy had insane talent, but the fame was too much for them and they turned to drugs. Sad that that's what our society does to people.
