Some day it will come to pass that I will be sitting in a public waiting room of some type, perhaps a Hospital, and it will be showing on the TV mounted on the wall.
What did you think after you saw the movie? I liked Bane, particularly because the movie displayed his more human side. Also, his voice was excellent imho.
I think they handled the character okay. In retrospect the overly muscled Bane from the comics might not have worked as well in what I consider to be a serious action drama. They might have gone with putting a bodybuilder with acting skills into the role. But I think Tom Hardy gave the role some dimension. I very impressed with the movie overall.
Im a major batman fan and love the original movies. I didn't give Dark Knight a 2 thumbs up because Heath Ledgers death. Dead or alive, even though I am a fan of his, I didn't like the film. I was lacking in the colorful horror quirkiness from "Batman" with jack and I was disappointed. I really like Anne Hathaway but I won't be watching it.
Exactly. Nolan's treatment of the Batman concept is dark and serious, and much more what Batman might be like in reality. If one wants quirkiness go back and watch "Batman Forever" and "Batman and Robin". They were laughable.
See, though I liked the original, I didn't like the whole goofy, surreal quality, which Tim Burton always brings to his movies. Batman is supposed to be dark, granted, and that was appropriate. But surreal? Nah. And I also didn't like the way they entangled the Joker's origin with Batman's. I hate when they "coincidentalize" things like that. Joe Chill killed the Waynes and "created" Batman, not Jack Napier, and the Nolan films at least stayed with the comics and got that right. To a point. However, Hollywood still has to unnecessarily "coincindentalize" things, by making Chill an (unwitting) minon of the League of Shadows, from which Bruce Wayne eventually ends up learning to be Batman. I hate that; why do they always have to connect things like that?
That how I first saw Family Guy.
I was the George of the Jungle type ...Trees were my Nemesis.
Good luck finding that hunk, or hulk!
The Avengers > Amazing Spider-Man > Dark Knight Rises
(I didn't like Spiderman or Dark Knight Rises much, but I loved The Avengers).
