It's one of the most wonderful times of the year for basketball fans: NBA All-Star Weekend! This year's All-Star Weekend festivities take place in Houston, Texas--home of the NBA's Rockets and NFL's Texans. The Celebrity Game, Rookie Challenge, three point shootout, and Slam Dunk Contest are all fun events in their own right and build towards the final, big night: the NBA All-Star Game.

This year, there are familiar faces returning to the basketball court, including fan favorites Kevin Garnett, LeBron James, Dwight Howard, Kobe Bryant, Dwyane Wade, Carmelo Anthony, Chris Paul, Blake Griffin, Tim Duncan, and Kevin Durant. There are also some new names on the All-Star roster like Luol Deng, Kyrie Irving, Brook Lopez, Jrue Holiday, Joakim Noah, Paul George, Tyson Chandler, James Harden (and his epic beard), and David Lee.

The All-Star Game is played usually in good fun, but just because these top players are enjoying the experience, doesn't mean they don't want to win for their respective conference. At the end of the day, they are competitors and All-Stars for a reason. The 62nd annual NBA All-Star Game airs live, Sunday night at 8pm/ET on TNT.
