I prefer to read and write on small sites too. It just feels better to engage in a conversation with a small group of people.

I find the larger Harry Potter sites get too um, how shall I say this? Bats*** crazy.

I think smaller sites are fun because you can engage in a conversation, debate or squee with people without it resorting to childish or rude behavior.

It depends on the site, I belong to a site that has the same amount of people here. But they pick sides. And most of the time all they do is argue. It reminds me of high school.

While i like the idea of smaller sites...larger sites are much more appealing. Call it a numbers game, but the larger the site, the more likely it is i'm going to find someone I like.

I like the idea of small intimate sites where you know everyone and you can almost predict their responses (and yet, still get surprised every now and then).
