I need to work on my jumper but then again who doesnt need work ...other than that if your on my team 9/10 times we will run anyone off the court in a pick up
used to play for U18 National team. But later i had to choose education or basketball, and all conditions make me choose education. Life is a big court, just play it :)
I have a natural talent for basketball. Even when I go over a year at a time without playing, I still beat most people. Don't let me get in a rhythum or I'll become the other person/team's nightmare. If only I could dunk, then I would be almost unbeatable by anyone who isn't a pro level player (can't dunk being a woman who is only 5'8'' and can't jump worth crap).
I was a horrible basketball player. I was fat, slow. But I loved the game and enjoyed playing it even more than football, the sport I truly excelled at.
My friends and I played a version of B-Ball during Phys. Ed where it was basically foul the other guy as hard as possible, travel, double dribble...do anything, just score. And if someone complained about being fouled, they got ejected for being wimps. We were banned from playing it after a couple of guys lost teeth and bled a little. Sad day.
I was at one time. But after my foot injury the doctor said , "No running , no jumpimg , and don't turn your foot on its side." So much for most sports!
Yeah, or at least I was. I've still got a pretty solid shot but haven't really played competitively since my early 20's. 10 years of smoking probably hasn't helped either.
Though I stand 6 feet 11 inches tall, I never had that gift with the Round Ball game. Give me a football, and I can hit you at sixty plus yards with it, but Round Ball.....no way!
