Are There Too Many NCAA Teams in Tournament?

With March Madness rapidly approaching, fans will surely be filling out their brackets and throwing out their predictions. With 68 teams competing for college basketball's richest prize -- the NCAA's National Championship -- there is a sure sign of unpredictability. Could a team like VCU shock the world? Could an old favorite like Duke return to the promise land?

Here's a question we'll pose to all of you: Are there too many teams in the NCAA Tournament? College basketball fans love to watch games, but too much of a good thing could be a bad thing with over-saturation. Some fans can't get enough though. Others may look at it like ice cream. You can love ice cream cones, but after 16, you will probably have gotten sick of it halfway through.

What drives the NCAA Tournament isn't always competition, but money. The more teams there are, the more games are broadcast, meaning more money for colleges, the NCAA, and television networks.
